    Anybody else have one of these? I’m getting intake air temps of 105-140°F seems really high from what I’ve read others temps are on here….

    your charged temps should always be 20*f above ambient cruising and a maximum gain of like 50-60*f when you are wot. remember after a couple pulls cruise around and let the charge cool off or else you'll heatsoak. i believe timing retard kicks in at 140*f

    I still can’t believe there’s dual pulley people driving around on the stock heat exchanger.

    What are you thinking? 🤣

    Just get a Merc. Under 600 bucks for an S6 and under 500 for the S4 version.

    I put a Merc on my car and I’m only stage 1 and my 1/4 mile went down a 10th and gained a half mile an hour so this car gets heat soaked at only stage 1. I’m actually quicker now than when I did winter runs.

    You getting a heat exchanger will feel like you got tuned again 😀

    What is the difference between Merc. HX and 034 HX ? Just the price or ?

    I'm running the CTS HX, since I'm in Europe and that's the only one I could find that was being imported without costing 2x as much. I've been very happy with it so far.

    I’m sure the 034 HX works great but not twice as great to justify 1000 dollars.

    Jose at Merc really put a dent in the HX market by offering a performance proven HX for half the money.

    It just depends on how quickly you want your car to recover. Not that it is a major difference, but for some every little bit counts.

    Who on this thread is running a stock HX? I have a cts was just asking if anyone else has it and if it’s shit because I feel like it’s not cooling very well but I have nothing to compare it to as I didn’t take any temps when I had stock HX on

    I have a CTS HX on my car and I'm happy with it (Merc was out of stock when I ordered). My buddy got the 034 for his SQ5 and it is very nice. You're paying for the quality and the added features. It has billet end tanks, can be configured as single or dual pass, custom molded silicone hoses (my CTS came with a long rubber hose that I had to cut myself), air duct seals to promote better airflow, and dual bleeder plugs (one on each end tank).

    Merc makes a good product, CTS makes a good product, 034 just takes it to another level. It may not be worth it to everyone, but it's a really nice product.
