Hey guys! Recently picked up a B8 A4 2.0T, I got a great deal on it, has a KO4 upgrade, exhaust, intake, and a pretty aggressive snap crackle pops tune.
My question is, I bought the car knowing it had a severe oil consumption issue, to my delight, I took the intake pipe off right before the intake manifold and it is FULL of so much oil, I don’t even want to know what the intercooler looks like. Now thankfully, I have confirmed it isn’t anything severe or internal, but either a PCV valve or a turbo blowing oil into the intake. What is the best way to test the PCV system to see if that is the culprit? Obviously it’s a much cheaper part and a little easier to do, but I wouldn’t be surprised if the snaps and pops have taken their toll on the turbo. From my initial research I’ve found that the PCV system is pretty weird on these cars, so again, how can I test to see if that’s what’s drinking my oil and spitting it back out into the intake? Whatever it is, it’s drinking about 1 qt every 500-600 miles. I’ve never been so relieved to find the oil in the intake, knowing I won’t have to pull this engine out anytime soon. Thanks for any advice in advance! IMG_0375.jpg
