Did my first oil change on '18 SQ5 3.0T using the oil extract method and ecs tuning oil and filter replacement kit. The only issue I had was that I needed to move the extract tube around a little or use the smaller diameter tube. It took twice as long because I must have placed the tube too far down the dipstick tube because I only pulled 2L even after braking the seal (loosen the oil filter housing) on the oil filter. I eventually pulled the extract tube in and out of the dipstick tube and was able to remove approximately 6.7L and used about 7.6L back into the engine.

I would recommend this approach since it is much faster, quicker and cleaner. Guys at the nearest Autozone were even happy to drain the oil for me using the MityVac extractor since it is also fast and easy to drain into their recycling container.

I did my first oil & filter change yesterday using my MityVac extractor using the small diameter tubing. I was able to easily feel when the tube reached the bottom of the pan. Since this was my first change I thought it to be wise to mark the extractor where it was full. What I thought was strange was that when I measured what I took out it was slightly over 8 quarts. The MMI oil level showed full and OK. I refilled with the suggested 7.7 quarts and will do a check with the MMI and my dipstick after a drive tomorrow. I will report if I find the readings abnormal.

It seems these Audi's often "gain" fluid in the sump between oil changes. Apparently, short trips and incomplete warmups can contribute to fuel dilution.
