Up for sale is my 2002 Audi S8 with 85k miles. I have had this car for 3 years. It was purchased from the 2nd owner in Calabasas, CA with 79k miles. I had some very big plans for building this car. Unfortunately, I have moved jobs and recently purchased a newer car so I must sell my baby. These cars are pretty rare and these days are becoming exceedingly rare to find in good condition without a ton of miles. There were only 482 S8’s imported in 2002 and only 1200 total for the D2 model. This car is brilliant black paint, all black interior with the gray wood trim and alcantara door inserts. The car runs and drives excellent. I know the 5hp24 can be somewhat of a concern, but this car has never shown any signs of concern and shifts smoothly. That being said, I do have a transgo pressure regulator that I was planning on putting in for peace of mind when I did the transmission fluid change. I suggest that the new owner does this right away for peace of mind and longevity of the transmission. The car is bone stock with no modifications. Always garage kept, and maintenance done on time. Maintenance:
Oil change every 5k with Mobile 1 and OEM filter
New high flow catalytic converters
Spark plugs and coil packs at 80k
New battery at 83k
New upper control arms at 80k
New driver side c/v axle,
The passenger side boot is ripped and will need to be replaced as well, I will do it myself if the car doesn’t sell soon
Timing belt was replaced at 75k by previous owner, unfortunately I lost the paperwork he gave me for the work when I moved but happy to pop open the timing belt cover and send pictures of the timing belt.
Exterior:
Paint is in overall good condition Could use a cut and polish to get it looking brand new again
18” OEM Audi wheels (not sure what model they’re from)
Brand new general g-max tires less than 1k miles
Slight crape and crease on passenger rear quarter panel, can be seen in pictures
Interior:
Air conditioning blows nice and cold
Interior is in overall really good condition, some blemishes here and there typical of a car this age
