Next thing up - ABT HAS was installed at ZTF (034Motorsport) in San Jose. The initial ride height was set up absolutely dumped (26" FTG or less all around). Looked sweet, but too low for me. It's since been fine-tuned via a few different adjustments and also hardware changes (more on that later).

Initial pictures (again, looks awesome, but too low).

Stay tuned!!! I'll try to provide more updates through the week.

It did look pretty sick at that height from the right angles - Not exactly functional and the offset was wonky. That's been addressed (as you and Ben know). Will update in a bit

    One more just for kicks

Okay - So, after getting the car back from ZTF, it was pretty obvious that it was too low - I also needed to adjust the offset now that the wheels are cambered in with the new ride height.

First things first - Shout out to Ben (Mops@NemesisAutosport) for being Johnny on the spot with the parts - Thank you!

MRG titanium studs and nuts - "Standard" spec, 75mm stud length (can accommodate unto a 15MM spacer), M14X1.5, R13 nuts - Old QE in me notices that these threads appear to be rolled... not cut (should minimize galling).

That sets the table for the next batch of bits - 5MM spacers for the fronts, 10MM for the rears.

Rears picked up probably ~.5" - 10MM spacer sourced from Ben/Mops installed, new titanium hardware installed.

Fronts picked up and locked into place with the M5 set screw. 5MM spacer (not sure of brand, sourced from Nemesis/Ben/Mops), titanium hardware installed. No clue what the brand of the spacers are, but I know they're made in the US (CoO), and they're high quality, ZERO COMPLAINTS

Also removed these guys (bolts) and plastic tabs from the inner sides of the front fenders - If you know you know

Lastly - The axle bolts/hubs have looked like hell since I've owned the car - Not sure what that's all about. Is this the new normal on a brand new car?

I have a feeling these cars were sitting waiting (outside) for components at Audi/port, unfortunately. Car has never seen snow/rain living it's best life in sunny California.

Rears with the new offset (spacers), hardware, and ride height

Fronts with the new offset (spacers), ride height, and hardware

Still several more things in the mix - Car goes back to ZTF/034 Motorsport on Friday to get final alignment and a few PPF touch ups addressed.

    Stay tuned!

Very helpful information! It looks like the rubber valves have a slightly lower speed rating of 130 mph compared to the metal ones which are rated for 155 mph. Very odd that BC Forged wheels are unable to accommodate oem tpms metal valves.

Those values you're showing above don't fit - The ID of the valve stem hole on the BCs is too small.

Well folks, dialed in the ride height and the alignment. Car is aligned at new ride height/stance - Also, fresh maintenance wash for the Xpel Ultimate PPF topped with 2x coats of Gtechniq Halo

Car continues to get better - Just surpassed 900 miles on the ODO!! I have a 5054A tool in route and have been in contact with "Canadian Sam" - More juicy updates to come.

Lastly, just got promoted at work and "provided with more comp and more responsibilities," might need to slow this thing down a touch as international travel is imminent

    Stay tuned!

Awesome thread man! Found your profile when searching for BullX posts and stumbled upon this thread. Looks like you've done most of the mods I have been eyeing, including the exact same wheel/color I emailed Mops about last week Bookmarked and looking forward to more updates!

this is a ton of stuff. nice! i might of missed it since i only glanced, do you have any sound clips of the bull x res del pipes paired with factory exhaust?

just picked up an rs5 and none of the exhaust vids tickle my fancy so maybe a res del is a cheaper option for me that can decently increase sound

    ur car is gorgeous btw!

I have the Bull-X res delete and it's maybe 10-15% louder than stock. If you are looking for something that's really going to transform the sound of your exhaust, you have to go aftermarket. This is more of a "it should have come like this from factory" kind of mod.

Sorry folks - This post is lagging significantly behind my threads on other forums.

I know the 6/7/8 community has had the ability to unlock these functions for some time on vehicles that came with the required hardware.

Good news for us B9.5 folks - Sam (the guy who does the software coding remotely) has cracked the B9.5 chassis cars to enable these functions on cars with the required hardware.

Link to the cable - https://www.autoecupart.net/products...4aAlt5EALw_wcB

It needs to be the 5054A tool (which is currently backordered if you want an OEM one). 5054A has since been superseded to VAS6154A. The VAS6154A does not work (it's apparently unstable?). The OEM one is also $1300 + ODIS software - The link I provided works just fine for this process. Unfortunately, I couldn't get ODIS to work, but that doesn't matter.

You'll also need a Windows 10+ laptop with an available USB A port, and have TeamViewer installed so that Sam can remote in to your machine/vehicle. You'll also need internet access while plugged into the car (obviously).

Optional: I had the car on my CTEK batter maintainer while we were going through the programming/flash protocols. Not necessary, but I've personally witnessed some folks brick various modules if they run low on power during a re-programming. Cheap piece of mind and I have internet access in my garage (where the battery maintainer is located).

I had a few things enabled:
    Acceleration timers
Blue hue for laser light - Apparently the US has a white laser, the only coding for RoW is a color hue change (cannot confirm this)
    Matrix functionality enabled
Orange stand-lights in headlights "turned off"

Animation of unlock "light show" and illumination of the blue light

Unfortunately, I don't have video of the lights in action on the road at night. I did learn that matrix also functions/relies on GPS information (it doesn't work unless you're going over 30mph and in an area where use of matrix functionality provides benefit). I can report that the performance increase is VERY obvious over the standard auto-high beams. It's pretty trippy watching the individual sections of the lights turn on and off the first time you see it in person.

Overall, worth it if you've got some cash burning a hole in your pocket, and/or out of other mods to do (or both).

Another small update - While unimportant and/or unnoticed to most owners, the center console wear patterns have really been bothering me (B9.5). Not necessarily a design flaw per se, but definitely, "not how I woulda drew it up."

For those that have had several Audis (or maybe an observant first-time owner), you all know that Audi might use the softest Piano Black paint in the universe - Application of this finish in high-traffic/high-touch/high-use areas such as the center console really bothers the OCD in me (B/C pillars are another peeve/cause of irritation).

While my solution has already been implemented by others, I figured I'd snap a few pictures to better explain what's going on, and what's been done to address the annoyance.

Wear patterns - Center console cup-holder/shifter-surround removed - My car is absolutely babied and barely has 1k miles on the clock - This wear exhibited below is already occurring this early in the life cycle:

Step 1: Prepare the area with a DA and some Sonax Profiline/Perfect Finish 4/6 - This will re-establish a baseline for smooth, mostly defect free paint finish. Tools used (PC7424XP/terry pad) and output below:

    Post-correction:

Step 2: Employ a PPF/vinyl-film installer to "wrap" the part. We used Xpel Stealth PPF on mine (satin finish).

Step 2b (optional): For additional protection, apply a ceramic coating on top of cured film. I used Gtechniq Halo as it is a flexible coating designed specifically for films/PPF.

    Close-up of the finish

    Step 3: Sub-assembly/final re-assembly

    Results:

Stay tuned - I have more plans!!!

Looks great! How do you like the new steering wheel? I bought the exact one (alcantara with the stitched airbag) just waiting for it to arrive. Do you find it feels much better than the round wheel? Is it smaller?

It's roughly the same size - Same diameter, but I feel as though it's slightly thicker. Although the general diameter is the same, it "feels" smaller with the flat bottom.

I'm a bit on the fence on if I should have gone alcantara. I typically clean it with Sonax once a week because I'm weird like that - But, I could see where it could get "gunky" in summer weather in warmer climates - Especially so if it's not a clean freak owner

That being stated, it looks baller as hell - And I get a ton of compliments. Leather stitched bag is a HUGE plus. I sat in an RS6 last weekend with the standard bag and it felt/looked cheap.

I'm glad it feels a bit smaller and/or thicker because the round wheel just didn't do it for me. My round wheel is alcantara already and my previous B9 RS5 had one as well so I'm very used to them and cleaning them (but you live in a much warmer climate than me so I can see how sweaty hands may make it kinda gross fairly quickly). I absolutely agree that the stitched airbag cover is a must. I'm going to be losing my heated wheel button but it's a small sacrifice.

Yeah - Out here in California, heated wheel isn't a requirement.

Canada though, not sure. I feel like only a lunatic in California would turn on the heated functionality of an Alcantara wheel.

I never use my heated wheel (the alcantara doesn't really get cold which is nice).

Decided I didn't want to drop an absurd amount of money on Ecodes.... yet

Only option for now was to go the poor-mans route and get some vinyl blackouts. As far as I can tell, Badgeskins is the only company on the market with these right now for the B9.5

    https://www.badgeskins.com/store/p11...er-Delete.html

They don't look half bad - Maybe go full blown Ecodes next year - We'll see

Good buddy of mine just picked up a B9.5 RS5 with the bronze package, too. Decent package - Good for those who don't want to mod their ****. Pic at the golf course last weekend - He's not on the forums

Stay tuned!!! Always more stuff coming!

Parked next to a new RS3 at a golf course the other day - Those rear bumpers are awful on what otherwise looks like a pretty decent design. Obviously, not as much of a looker as the RS5 SB, but still decent. Not sure if I can get over that rear bumper, looks like a "city bumper" for people that don't know how to parallel park.

Hmm.... still a bit of a disconnect here from AW.

Took some photos after a carwash a few weeks ago - Been travelling alot for work and haven't been really paying attention to much.

I think the rear coils have been settling a skosh - Thinking I need to pick the rears up 1/4" or so. Will keep an eye on it.

Been neglecting this thread - Will work today to catch it up to my AW build:

I've ordered multiple different parts from several suppliers. I'll have the options of running aftermarket LED panels in the OEM red housings or some type of 501 spade LED (more on that later). I'll even have the option of running flat out aftermarket LED/housings and replacing the lens with OEM. I'll also have the option of running an AliExpress splitter/extender, or building my own. Long story short, I'll have more than enough stuff to make this work and then some. It will be my "project" between Christmas/NY if parts show up in time.

In the interim, I figured I'd add the AudiGecko air freshener - Makes a good conversation piece for those who don't know Audi or the 25th anniversary cars.

I have another update of the challenges (at least in the glovebox) of running a 501 type LED spade bulb. I'll try to get that added tonight or tomorrow.

    Stay tuned!

Alright - So, a few things going on here.

#1 - Lighting in the glove box is halogen/festoon - This bothers me, maybe the only lighting on/in the car that isn't LED/Laser.

#2 - I am planning to add red door warning lamps. The differences between "top" lens dimensions (profile) of the factory LED puddle/beam lamps and the blank reflector panels in the doors appear to be insignificant. The dimensions beneath the top profiles are SIGNIFICANTLY different - Might be running into a space constraint (more on this later)

#3 - The connectors/plugs on both styles of lights are built into the top profile lens. The connectors are also significantly different (OEM LED connectors are significantly smaller and more square, while halogens are larger and wide rectangles). This means that the red "blank" panel cannot be retrofitted onto either housing.

Not dead yet.... I have an idea.

Enter 6Y0947411 - This appears to be the OEM halogen red warning assembly (housing/lens/lamp). After a closer look, this appears to be a third "different" plug than what's in my glovebox.

To make this work, the extension/splitter cable will need to have one end with the smaller female receptacle (to accept OEM LED male connector) and two different ends (one with the smaller male plug to match OEM LED lamp, and one to match 6Y0947411).

Because the connectors/lens are significantly different, my factory LED puddle lamps will not fit beneath the red OEM blank lens, or the lens of a halogen red lamp. Those things are officially dead in the box.

    Stay tuned!!!

Tis the season for lights!!! I purchased a variety of LED and halogen style clear housings, red housings, and wiring harnesses. Figured I'd address a few issues that probably aren't even considered a "thing" by most folks.

First thing that needs addressed - The halogen lamp in the glovebox.

I tested out a variety of 194/501 spade type LEDs to see which lighting array I liked the best.

I ended up deciding that I liked the multi-LED PCB array the best - Installed an adapter to connect to the OEM pigtail (no cutting)

Final product - Plenty of light without being offensive - Won't need to go rifling through here hunting for insurance/tags in a dimly lit environment ever again

    Stay tuned!!!

Okay - Time to address/add the red door warning lights that Audi discontinued around 2017 MY from what I can tell. These have been "added back in" by several folks on B9 cars (and other platforms).

I'm using some of their information, and also toying around with different lighting arrays.

First array - OEM 194/501 bulb

Second array - 4 LED panel with 194/501 connector (red in color) from EM tuning.

    https://www.emtuning.co.uk/product/a...ght-led-panel/

Third array - Multi-panel white LED PCB (18 in total, but smaller than the EM LEDs) - From what I can tell, they're roughly the same brightness as the EM LED and OEM lamps, just a wider/more balanced array. If I had to do it again (and I am for a local friend), I would have went with the red multi-LED PCB. More on that in a few weeks.

They are soldered into place (soldered in place to the 194/501 connector). Soldering also allowed me to "center" the board within the lamp housing - This was something I struggled with on the EM "plug and play" panels.

I'm rolling with the multi-LED PCB - I like the look. For reference, lamp on the left is OEM 194/501, lamp on the right is the multi-LED PCB

They're installed, will do a quick write-up on that next. Stay tuned!!!

Adding "back in" the red door warning lamps.

    Before

As noted in a previous post, I'm gonna run the 18-LED PCBs installed within the red OEM housings.

OEM red warning lamp housings next to the dummy "blank" that came installed from the factory

Wiring harnesses/splitters/extensions were scooped up from AliExpress. I've always thought junk from AliExpress might be questionable. But, these worked out. I verified their functionality, and then added some additional Tesa tape to make sure they wouldn't "rattle" within the door.

In process picture - I didn't completely remove the door panels. I just popped the CF trim, removed the 3 T25 screws, then popped out the bottom of the panel until I had enough room to run the wires (this saved alot of time).

Some pretty cruddy "after" pictures. I need to get a new Iphone (I'm still on the 12PM and one of the camera lens are scratched)

Lastly, I decided to rip the OEM liftgate LED apart. Should be pretty straight forward to solder in a 18 LED PCB. Will be dorking around with that when the parts show up.

    Stay tuned!

    Hi Lensch09,

BIG fan of all ur mods! I just got my navarra blue rs5 as well.

Could you tell me what % tints you have on all windows and whether crystalline/ceramic?

Will tints on the windshield affect the heads-up display on the window at all? Thanks!!

Anyways - Since the idea was planted in my head earlier that the hatch wasn't bright enough, I added some more lumens.

OEM LED is a bright single panel LED (brighter than OEM puddle-lamps)

It's not necessarily "dim," per say. Especially so with the LED "strip" lamps on each side of the hatch

I bought more of the 18 LED PCBs and housings from my supplier. Side by side with OEM LED lamp

New lamp installed - ITS BRIGHTER

It throws more light - Not necessarily offensive. But, more for sure.

Stay tuned - I've got more ideas... probably some stuff that I can't see has been documented (CF seat backs on OEM buckets).

Amazing set up! What color are those wheels? I’m looking into BC Forged wheels as well but it’s hard to figure out the colors on my screen.
