Wheels are here! Thank you Ben (mops@nemesisautosport)!
I cleaned/coated them. Process:
Prepped with Gyeon Q2m or Gtechniq Panel Wipe (I'm trying to debate which one I like better)
Barrels and faces first coat with Gtechniq CSL - Allowed to cure for ~24 hours before second coats
Barrels second coat with Gtechniq C5 - I do this because the finish properties of C5 sheet water, not repel - I figured this would be better to retain wheel weights (I'd prefer they don't "dance around" and/or fly off)
Faces second coat with Gtechniq EXOv4 - Finish properties of this are hydrophobic (they repel water) - Figured this would keep it easier to do a waterless wash if I wanted
Waiting for them to cure for ~24 hours before putting them back in the boxes to take to installer - While curing, I covered the wheels with the cheesecloth/thin covers from BC forged to keep dust away.
More pictures of the wheels and the process:
Initial inspections
Gyeon Q2M prep - basically a fancied up isopropyl mix
Gtechniq CSL and some super plush Adams MF to level/buff. I used sponge/blocks wrapped in MF cloths for the barrels, and then finger foam from Gtechniq for the faces
As I moved through the process and completed each wheel, they were covered to avoid dust settling on them while curing
As I moved through the process, barrels got second/top coat above the CSL with Gtechniq C5 (sheets water and can handle high heat)
Faces/front-lips got their top coat above CSL with GTechniq EXOv4

.
All tucked away for the night to cure - I'll re-package them tomorrow. I have an appointment to get them installed at Love Shop Auto in Fremont on Friday - hilarious name, but it's a shop that came highly recommended by Audi Gruppe Silicon Valley (AGSV)
Stay tuned!!! More stuff coming!
