Switch off engine and check coolant level Warning

Got a "Switch off engine and check coolant level" warning leaving the office today. Coolant level OK, of course. Appears that the integrated coolant reservoir level sensor can go dodgy over time. FCP sells the OE P/N 8K0121403AC for $76 - probably not worth trying to save a few dollars with an aftermarket tank. Looks easy enough to replace. Still, a pain... --g

@silver_tt : No coolant loss from the system that I can discern -- cold coolant level in tank is constant.

@Theiceman : Running that experiment is a reasonable idea if I can source a bottle of G13 locally in the next few days. --g

I have a ww pump I got from a wreckers and a 12v plug in supply from some old technology I've had for years. Works great for this stuff.
