Lean faults with high idle, diagnosed.

Typical faults for an air leak on an 06 A4 but had a tough time finding the leak when using when using a smoke machine. I eventually saw an oil bubble out of the corner of my eye while digging around; sprayed a little soapy water on the area.

Sucking air from the valve cover.

.. but wait .... that should be under vacuum .. not bubbling out ... in fact it is actually pretty significant vacuum .. bad PCV ?

or were you pressurizing the crankcase intentionally looking for leaks ?

Yeah, using a smoke machine pressuring up the intake and crank case.

ah i didnt see the smoke .. good one .. bet the old gasket was like plastic lol.
