Help with 2008 S5 electrical problems

I have a 2008 Audi S5 with massive electrical problems following the battery going dead when the shop was fixing an AC leak at the firewall. The EPS light is on and the dash is showing a parking brake problem. The engine starts, revs, and runs enough to move the car around but is otherwise undriveable. It also idles a little rough. Below is the VCDS scan AFTER clearing - these codes come back immediately. Ignore the headlight problem - it is unrelated. Ideas?

Says to me there's an issue with the fuse 5 in the ECM box, or the wiring from that fuse to the devices. Is that fuse blown?
The heater circuits are fuses 9 and 10 in that same ECM box. Check all the fuses in the ECM box.

You're the man! Nailed it first shot out of the gate!

Fuse 5 was blown. Replaced it and it immediately blew again. Replaced a second time and was able to clear all but "004764 - Fuel Pressure Regulator Valve; Bank 2 (N276)."

After a few minutes, the Fuel Rail System Pressure too low (1010 mbar) and the parking brake error came back. EPC never turned off and the engine continues to run rough.

I stopped and started the engine a couple of times after re-seating the wire connectors and tapping on the fuel pumps with no change. The third time I started the engine, the fuse blew again and all 15 engine codes came back.

So... Would a bad fuel pressure regulator short and cause this to happen? Should I just replace the sensor or the pump too? Any test I can do on the sensor?

You'd have to test through to see where the short is. I'd start by testing the fuse slot for continuity to ground (one side is connected to battery, one side goes to the devices, it's the devices side you want to test). Once you confirm short to ground on that side of the fuse, then you need to find which device's power wire pin is short to ground. The DTC for the fuel is going to come up as soon as the power is down and the engine is running, so that doesn't id that device specifically as the problem. You could test the power pin to ground pin on the HPFP for continuity to see if it is the pump grounding the power. But it's more likely somewhere in the wiring harness between the fuse and the downstream devices. Have to look for a frayed wire or such.

It definitely appears to be the LH fuel pressure regulator/high pressure fuel pump. I replaced the fuse again, unplugged the RH fuel pressure regulator and reset the codes before starting the engine. Only 2 codes came back:

004764 - Fuel Pressure Regulator Valve; Bank 2 (N276) - Open circuit
000135 - Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too Low

EPC stayed on, but the fuse didn't blow and the engine ran smoothly. The car was drivable up to 3000 rpm (where the engine cut out due to not enough fuel pressure). After driving, no further codes popped up.

My car had also fried its ECU about 6 months prior, but was running fine up to this latest episode. This was probably the root cause. Prior to its replacement, there was NO communication to it and no start, so no codes.

I'll let you know the results following replacement, but expect this to be it.
