Does anyone know how I can update the TCU software on my car (2017 TTRS DAZA) or if unitronic can do this via uniconnect ? Im currently unitronic stage 2 tcu/ecu on this software : - 0DL300012E Rev : 2011, I have driven a car on newer software & it appears to be alot smoother especially in everyday driving.

    Thanks

Unitronic Stage 2 TCU softwate update 0DL300012E

if you can get someone that has AUTOTUNER tool then they can update the OEM software. you are going to flash the TCU back to stock with the newest software and most probably have to send in the new OEM read for calibration again.

before i flash any clients ecu or tcu..i always make sure they are on the newest version.

You can also do it with Uniconnect and the cable. There are 3 stage 2 TCU files. Revision 1e, Revision 1e2 and Revision 1e3.

    1e is increased clamping pressure
2e is increased clamping pressure with 3800rpm launch control. Mainly used for the drag strip.
3e is like 1e and just shifts so much smoother.

1e and 2e I have found just shifts too harsh.

Any Unitronic dealer can sort you out if you don't have Uniconnect and cable.

Hopefully it helps, I personally couldn’t stand the Uni stage 2 tcu regardless of what version, went TVS and never looked back.

Even though it shifts smoother, does it shift slower 1e? I currently have 1e loaded, but I can also load 3e at any time. Is 3e a lot better than 1e?

Thanks for the detail. Now I don't know if something changed with 1e but I have been running it all summer and winter and I find it amazingly smooth. I was one of those that was not thrilled with the harshness of the tune and had used 1e3 for a while. The old 1e used to be especially harsh in the cold. Hope I'm not causing confusion if the versions haven't actually rev'ved up :-)

Hi Omar - I sent you an email not too long ago. Which TCU box are you alluding to that is an "update" to your current 012E/2011 (MY2017 ROW TTRS)?

my 1e shifts smooth to me, I was paying extra attention to shifts this weekend, feels perfect to me. I might just try 3e for the hell of it to see the difference, flashing the tcu is super fast anyway

    Glad to hear it!

Just for clarification, Stg2 rev1e3 has no shift speed improvements applied, so shifts are just as quick as stock. If you want quickest shifts, Stg2 rev1e is the file for you!

Hey John, so does rev1e shift faster than rev2e? Or are they both the same with rev2e having a higher Launch Control RPM?

Currently running rev2e but will switch if rev1e is even faster shifting.

Stg2 rev1e and rev1e2 have the same shift speed settings. The only difference is the launch control setpoint.

Thanks for that information John, I went back and retuned for rev1e2 and saw it's actually 4000RPM LC which lead me to question the 3800RPM LC file with no "rev1e" label on it.

Does the 3800RPM LC file have the same shift speed settings as the "rev1e" files?
