B8/B8.5 A4 Rough First Start after flashing IE STAGE I

What’s going on fellas I wanted to reach out and see if anybody else was experiencing a rough first start after flashing integrated engineering’s stage 1 or stage 2 tune? I’ve been into multiple audi mechanics and ive been told my engine is in excellent condition and has no currents issues. I even took it into audi and when I got the car back The audi gentleman asked me why I hadnt tuned it yet. For some reason though whenever i flash my car using IE either stage 1 or 2, that initial first start directly after the tune, my engine idles extremely roughly and gets very choppy and begins sputtering. After a little bit of time it goes away and the engine begins to run smooth as if it never even happened. I have a couple different videos about it that I can share as well. If anybody has had a similiar problem or might have an idea of what could potentially cause that i can use any help i can get. Cheers boys.

After a flash it’s very normal for the car to run rough, I have flashed a significant amount of cars and they always run rough for about 30-40 seconds after a flash

I recommend hitting up the ie support team they are absolutely fantastic. I did have rough idles when I did stage 1 and 2 but goes back. Have you checked for codes? I had issues with my cat sensors but I have heard issues where people need to upgrade their spark plugs

Dude the same thing happened to me just a few hours ago. I’ve been combing the internet for information about it. I installed a high flow cat and downpipe. Before turning the car on, I flashed stage 2 by IE. as soon as it was done, I started the car and it sounded absolutely terrifying. I thought I messed something up. I also had the car raised in the front pretty high for about 8 hours.

It's 100% normal and happens 99% of the time someone tunes. Nothing to worry about.

same - right after flash it runs rough. The next start everything was fine. The ECU is recalibrating to all new settings, which takes a minute.
