You can open them...is a pain in the ass because they are permaseal but they can be open with lots of patience either by the heating them on the oven method or a heat gun or by cutting them carefully with a Dremel tool and the DRL leds modules can be changed. They use two LEDs one on each side to spread the light.

You have the facelift headlights. It's the same method pretty much.

I opened mine to do a RGB DRL. Here's the results.Screenshot_20210525-230712__01__01.jpgIMG_20210625_210105.jpg

I wonder if it is control module or headlight itself

It’ll be the first thing they check but if that’s not it then the light itself has to go

I mean you don't need to do what I did. I'm just making the point that it's possible to open them and simply replace the DRL modules.

Those are the DRL modules. They are plug and play. First picture the oem drl, the second pics is my RGB DRL. Once you open them is very easy to replace them.IMG_20210222_194402__01.jpgIMG_20210222_194347__01.jpg

Sorry I don't. When I did my headlights i looked everywhere and I was not able to find anything. Closest video was from the shop B8 drivers they do this mod for the B8 platform.

You can take your headlights to a shop that does headlights mod and they can do it for you.

I mean you can do the ice driver if you want. You really don't need to change the colors...even do they are RGB they will light white.

US $140.00 | Icedriver for AUDI A3 S3 DRL RGB multicolor LED boards 2013-2015 daytime running lights Red Blue Demon Eye lighting bulbs
    https://a.aliexpress.com/_mMpzk61

If you look on this link you can click where it says 4 emitting colors and you can select your facelift headlights.

Or go with OEM drl modules. The hardest part is opening them.

This video will help you a bit. All do in the S3 the DRL are hold by a bolt so once you remove the bolt they come right off no need to pry them.

I have the same issue. I'm wondering how much a local mod shop will charge to do the RGB mod. What did you end up doing?
