Coding halogen lights and led us to ue

    Hello !
My car Audi A5 2.0 TFSI 211CV Quattro 2010 USA model with the US lights of course (halogen). I bought new (original) Non FaceLift LED rear lights that I would like to install. For the wiring I bought waterproof connectors so that I can do it myself. Connectors of the new LED lights already made. I only have the car side to do (bundle). But for that I would like to enter the new channel codes via VCDS to see which voltage goes on which wires. So far nothing complicated. But the problem is that all the channels which must be modified, mentioned above (channel 181, 189, 191 etc ..), are marked (NOT AVAILABLE). For information, the secure access codes mentioned here do not work, mine is 20113. Is this normal? Are there several secure access codes depending on what you want to change? Do you have to do the wiring and connect the new lights first? If so, which wiring diagram to follow?

Where do you just have to change other channels because it's a US model?

Or just code the halogen lights us to eu and change the reversing bulbs with oranges?

If someone has already had the case or has ideas I am interested.

    Thanks in advance !

I did this a while back. I converted from Halogen to FL tail lights.
I too had to make my own wiring. I used a 9V battery to light up each individual light on my FL taillight to understand which wire powers what. I did the same for the Halogen and then made a wire adapter.
One thing I distinctly remember is that on the FL tail lights, the inner (trunk) light also has a pin for the turn signal. (which the halogen lights do not). So I actually ran a hard wire from inside the trunk to the trunk lid to achieve this.
Next, to actually code these, it was A WHOLE LOT of trial and error. Since I had a custom wiring adapter, none of the coding that I found on the forums worked for me completely. I began with a basic channel setup that I derived from the link below and then it was just brute force to figure out a coding for the channels that would work for me.
This particular link helped me quite a bit in the early stages : https://forums.ross-tech.com/index.php?threads/4750/

You could probably buy wiring adapters from EuroPrice and I think they even code it for you remotely or provide a coding dongle. But it costs more money than I think it is worth.
I wish I could help you more, but the car is in storage and the wiring diagrams are probably lost.
    Good luck with the project.

    Hopefully others can chime in.

Thank you for your message. This is exactly what I did with a stack to find out which wire does what. Yesterday I went on vagcom and I noticed that a lot of people are wrong. The adjustment channels are accessible via the comfort module (46) and not in the central electric module (09). I will therefore be able to modify all the channels as seen on other tutorials and take voltage measurements on each wire to be able to adapt my wiring. I will share all of the process once found. If I don't get stuck

Good stuff. Glad you have it figured out. I didn't think of measuring the voltage, that would have saved me some time.
Do your new taillights' inner (trunk lid) lamp have 3 wires going into lamp or 4? Both FL Led and Halogen use a 4 pin adapter but there are only 3 wires going into the halogen vs 4 on the FL LED.

Now I wonder if there was a channel that I could have coded for the 4th pin instead of running a hard wire.
