It already has aftermarket suspension which can maybe be changed to accommodate the extra weight.

That’s correct we have the Bilstein B16 kit (PSS10) sourced from Mops.

Not at the moment. I am trying to work out the motor mount issue currently. We can get the new SRM motor mounts, but replacing both with those ones sounds like it would yield far too much NVH. SRM recommended via email with me to only replace the passenger one which is the most prone to failure. So now we need to figure out how to get a driver side one without a months-long wait.

Well it must have cost a fortune in R&D to make sure they wear out exactly right after the warranty expires ;)

Seriously though, those 4.0T are marketed as active mounts. Not sure what that means but they may have some advanced tech.

We have active mounts in the 3.0T as well, it's just a solenoid that turns on and off to control the fluid flow. Better off replacing with solid mounts anyway.

That is funny though, I can see the engineering meeting now...

Both are "Active" but the 3.0T is actually classified as "switchable".

Switchable hydraulic engine mounts
• Two conditions, hard and soft

The stock 4.0T mounts are what CES would today probably classify as "true" active mounts

Active hydraulic engine mount
• Vibration elimination over broad frequency range

Specifically to accommodate CoD. (Which is not applicable in this case.)
So many people shut it of with the tune it is perhaps moot, but in my readings there has never been any long term tests regarding fuel consumption with CoD disabled, but again most just don't care anyway.
I'd test myself by just going into Dynamic ESC:Sport which also disables CoD while in that mode, but that introduces the variable of Dynamic throttle and trans response that it would not really be a valid test to compare with my thousands of miles of "normal" driving with CoD.

Update.

Still waiting on a passenger side SRM motor mount from Anker Automotive. They had the item listed as in stock and I ordered on Dec. 10 with expedited shipping. Called yesterday and they said they hadn’t received them from SRM yet :(.

Oem S7 mount to be picked up this weekend in Albuquerque for the drivers side. They had them shipped in within a week. Bit of a drive though.

Another Update here, just bought some SRM +4 turbos with performance covers, SRM intake, and Merc Racing Heat Exchanger.

Still need motor mounts though.

Love this. Couple questions

1. What’s involved with integrating the ECU to the rest of the car (cluster, other modules, etc.). Is the immobilizer defeated?

2. Is the SQ ZF8 TCU simply being coded to the S8 ECU?

3. What other wiring is involved?

The mechanical part of the swap is easy compared to the coding required to get everything to work. From start to finish it took my mechanic a weekend to get everything fitted. Coding and decent tuning to make it do a full 1/4 pass took about a month after it was moving under it's own power. There are some things that still to this day we are trying to figure out. For example the electronic parking brake malfunction light is always on, the gear indicator doesn't show up on the cluster, and there's an issue with the coolant gauge that fluctuates in cold weather. Small stuff but the SQ5 moves.
