B6 Throttle Position Sensor issue (P0222)

Good day, I hope someone would be able to provide a solution to the crazy issue am having lately with my 2007 Volkswagen passat 2.0T FSI.
At first my knock sensor was bad so I had to replace it.
My big issue started a day after I replaced the knock sensor. I was on the highway a day after I replaced the knock sensor when I noticed the EPC light, traction control light and cruise control error all at the same time and the car went into limp mode but I was able to drive it to a diagnostic center. The car was scanned and 3 codes were found on it which were P0222, P310B and 00893. The mechanic guy told me I need to replace the throttle body and the connector to resolve the EPC issue since those are the main reasons from the code found on it for the EPC light to be active. I have replaced both the throttle body and connector but all to no avail. And now the mechanic said I also need to replace the throttle pedal but I doubt if he knows what he's doing.
Could it be the knock sensor which was replaced or the error which is related to low fuel pressure. Would appreciate any help in resolving this issue.

In all honesty I would look for any wire with cracked or stiff insulation. It sounds like it could be shorting out somewhere. I would also check for any fuse boxes or even with ecu to see if any water made it way in and caused problems.

I have done that, all wire seems to be fine. But could the new knock sensor throw P0222??

Not a chance you either have a issue with throttle body,gas pedal or wiring. Worst case scenario ecu. Only way to diagnose is to check the wiring from tb to gas pedal. I have seen gas pedals do weird things. Normally taking apart and cleaning only the board helps clean up the signal. If you dont know what you are doing don't do it as you may damaged the gas pedal or throttle body. You could also as a starting point do a throttle body adaption with a scanner and see if that helps.
