Source for Audi Electrical Terminals and Crimping Tool

I've got a 2006 (8P) A3 and I need to replace the connector on the rear tail lights. One of the terminals on the harness side is burned out so I have to replace that 1 terminal and the connector shell. I have a shell on order (after market - ECS tuning) but I can find no after market terminals or the correct crimping tool. What are you guys using?

The dealership wanted to sell me this wire set part number 000-979-021-E. However they wanted $23 for a piece of wire with a pre-crimped terminal at each end. I'll have to cut the wire and then either solder it or otherwise crimp it to the harness side. It seems a bit shoddy. I'd rather just cut the existing terminal off and crimp a new terminal.

I'm looking for a good source of quality OEM quality terminals of all sorts and an appropriate crimping tool. As the car ages I'm likely to be doing a lot more of this stuff.

These guys seem good but they are UK based and I'm US based.

    Tips and help appreciated.

    Cheers,

Check Volkswagen dealers. I remember paying like 12 for the repair wire. Same part number and everything

Yes it was $23 for 2 connecters one on each of the wire. They sold me the wrong size. Then once you snip the wire you still have to solder it or crimp it to something else to make the join. It's a terrible solution from Audi.
