    Yea be careful with your fueling. It doesn't take much to toast your motor if the fuel system isn't keeping up. Once your fuel is sorted, consider a larger exhaust. Specially with a turbo of your size. With a turbo car, exhaust is critical (reason we went full 3" for our B8 A4 exhaust systems). Best exhaust is no exhaust, as the turbo creates all the backpressure your engine needs. Anything after that is a restriction. Probably 10 years ago now we had an employee with one of our prototype turbo kits (18G) for the B6 A4 1.8T and he wasn't able to break into the 12s. He had a 2.5" APR/Billy Boat catback and we kept telling him that his exhaust is holding him back. Did a custom 3" and he took a full second off his time and gained few mph. On our B5 S4 on K04s we ran 11.4 with 3" DPs and 4" Single catback. Same Day unhooked the catback and ran open DPs and ran 11.1.

    Yeah I agree about the exhaust I just like to keep the soccermom mobile quiet. It splits I think into two 2.5" May be 2.7 after the mid pipe

    forgot to add it , 034 HPFP piston kit other than that fueling is stock . Did not log that day so I can`t say .

    Kinda bummed the season of low DAs is pretty much behind us, nevertheless I'm excited to run a couple passes once my car is back in shape. Had a transmission issue (jammed detent) and blown motor mounts, also going to a new exhaust setup as well as a few other bits so hopeful that I can shave a couple tenths!

    While I’m not doing any dragy pulls yet, the car is all back together and I am able to drive it around town to break in the motor. I’m about halfway there on breakin. Tyler is itching to get started tuning it again, as am I. lol.

    Still chasing some gremlins with the build.

    Had a oil leak pop up recently that we had to diagnose and address. (Ended up being the oil temp sensor threads on the sandwich plate I added so I could monitor oil pressure and temp)

    Then this past week the alternator stopped charging the battery (lithium ion) and I got stranded in the way home.

    Today I’ll be swapping the alternator out. Hopefully that will sort that out.

    And finally I made a mistake on the lines in the gas tank for the LPFP, so I wasn’t able to maintain fuel rail pressure. (I had two backwards… too many beers one night while I was putting it all together? lol) so that is now sorted out as well.

    But, one thing still remains. The intake cam shaft. When the cam phaser is plugged in, it makes one heck of a nasty noise and pulls timing. So. It drives fine with the phaser unplugged. But, it’s really sluggish in the bottom end. So, boost isn’t starting until 4K, and not ripping until 5k.

    Amazing! Always in awe of this build!!!!

    Do you have details you could share on that oil sandwich plate? I looked extensively for one that could be a potential fit as that is the ideal location!

    that's good you found it, seems to be coming together. I never found my oil (mist/fog) leak until i swapped out the k04. The dv bolts had loosened so under pressure it was having blow by.

    Thanks! There is more left in it too as we aren't pushing it very hard. With the same file with better tires/cooler weather we could go even faster. We don't have any dyno numbers at this time

    Can't wait to see things progress further! My stock turbo's days are probably numbered at ~130k miles, this would make for a nice upgrade when the time comes.

    Have you run this on a 6MT car yet?

    We did have it on our 6MT A4 for a little while and it was pretty fun. At the time we were still tuning stock injectors. After that car got hit we ended up purchasing the allroad and moved the hardware over

    Yes, but with these injectors we are we have a max of e50. We will continue to work to figure out a way to run more E content as we progress.
