4300k is better for inclimate weather such as rain/fog and snow as it doesn't reflect light into the driver when compared to the the higher kelvin bulbs. Just depends what you're after as you'll need to make a sacrafice. If you prefer the whiter/blueish light then go with a 5000-6000k bulb.

And I concur you should stick to 4300K for better all weather operation. The more full white balance of 5k-6k is going to make your iris close down more and make it even harder to pick up the less sensitive red and yellow colors. That center stripe is yellow. Plus that blue light is going to scatter that much more in fog.
If it's a non-running show car, 10k all the way. But if you have to actually drive it on real roads in real weather, 4k (4300).
Even though I personally run 5500k, I completely agree with Hagasan and Smac. There's a reason 4300-4500k is the standard OEM temperature. By moving up the temp spectrum you begin sacrificing visibility.
Am I going to swap back? No, because I like the way it looks.
