C8 A6 VCDS/OBD11 Mods

The C7 platform has like a bible of available mods....is this gen just more locked down or has no one put in the time to figure out what else we can do?

I don’t think as many people have taken the time to figure out all it can do. When I was looking I had to reference b9 a4/s4 and Audi q8 models to see what everyone was doing with obd11 and vagcom. Here’s one document with some codings that also work on the C8.

Has anyone seen how to view the launch control counter on C8s? I've found instructions on previous generations, but they don't seem to be in the same place anymore.

d. Long Coding Helper
e. Byte 2, Check Bit 3 “sl_at_drl,active”
f. Exit Long Coding Helper

Where it shows 0F at the top, you have to change that to 1F. I couldn't figure that part out, so I got some assistance on the Ross Tech forum.

Hi Guy's, annyone off you know how to permently light up the red door trim and dash led lights? I know it's a safty feature but I like it to be lid on permently or with a on/off option?

Hello everyone,

I have a 2021 Audi A6 C8. I managed to set several things but I can not find anywhere the following settings:
1. How can I decrease the km/h level of lane assist and switch of the intervention warning?
2. I dont know if it possible or not but my car has ambient light (not plus only normal). And my car has blind spot monitoring system as well. So in the door trims there are LEDs. Is there any option if I set these LEDs as an ambient light?
3. Head lamp washer disable.

Can you help me? I have VCDS.

On my 2023 RS6, was able to code:
- Headlamp washer disabled
- Amber headlight marker light disabled
- Emergency Braking Flashing
- Adjusting DIS MPG consumption down by 9% (computer was too optimistic)

However, I was not able to disable the MMI lockout when moving. It seems 2023+ cars may not be able to get VCDS to disable it anymore

Did you test the Emergency Brake Flashing? I've never been able to get that to work on my '22 RS6 that I know of.

Same with MMI lockout...

I did not - I assumed it worked since other light mods worked. But not easy to test lol

Could you write down how you disable the headlamp washer via VCDS?
And what does Amber headlight marker light mean?
