Long story short...
My V6 ceased just as the car crossed 100k km.
Not repairable. Unfortunately at the time due to finances I parked it...
A friend helped me to the impossible and we fitted a 5.7lt Chevy LS1 to the Audi onto the Quattro automatic transmission.
Audi ECU for transmission controll and aftermarket ecu for V8.
The conversion is complete BUT we have 1 challenge...
Although we fitted the Audi Crank sensor and trigger wheel to the V8 the Audi RPM signal is broken... It's as if it should have some sort of other correspondence from another sensor to work completely...
I remember the temp gadge wouldn't work unless the water level on the bottle was connected.
I assume the same goes for the genuine speed (RPM) somehow...
I have had the car at numerous educated specialists and we just can't get to Crack the problem...
