Hello Audi enthusiasts,
I hope I'm posting this in the right forum, and I'm seeking guidance on a recent DIY project I undertook involving the PCV replacement on my 2014 A6 3.0 Premium Plus, with VIN: WAUFGAFC4FN016353.
A few months back, I decided to tackle the PCV replacement myself. While I focused diligently on the replacement process, I overlooked the distinction between low and high-pressure PCV models and the potential implications for ECU tuning.
Initially, my car's oil consumption wasn't significant, approximately a quart every 7000 miles, which I deemed acceptable. However, given the age of the vehicle (10 years), I opted to replace the PCV (new PCV part number: 06E103547AK) including new Crankcase Breather Hose.
Since the replacement, I've observed a worsened oil consumption rate, along with a rough idle—something I hadn't experienced previously. Unfortunately, I neglected to note down the part number of the old PCV.
I'm now seeking assistance in determining whether an ECU tune is necessary and how I can ascertain this. Any insights or guidance you can provide, or if you can point me in the right direction or to a relevant forum, would be greatly appreciated.
For reference, I have VCDS and ODIS (VAS5054A interface) at my disposal.
Thank you in advance for any help you can offer.
Warm regards,
Valqe
