Thanks for having me on the forum guys. See myself as a BMW guy but seem to always end up buying Audis... odd.

Anyway, here's my 2018 Audi RS5. I've bought it with the proceeds of my business (AUTOID), we supply aftermarket styling products to all major German brands - check us out if you have a moment. That aside, the car.

If you care, I've written a blog about it here. Take a read :)

It's a Nardo Grey example with the partial Black Pack, Sound and Comfort Pack, Sports Exhaust and that's basically it...

    The good stuff:
    • Looks amazing. As you guys will know, the car is a looker, no doubt about that.
    • So fast, even stock. It really does take off from the line and loads of power in gear.

    Issues so far:
    • The B&O sound system. Pretty sure every B&O system I have had in an Audi has been duff, but this one is especially bad. Around 3 of the speakers have blown and there is an awful rattling from the dashboard speaker.
    • Had a red coolant light appear soon after delivery. This was sorted by the dealer soon after, but an issue nonetheless.

Didn't want to mess about with modding the car so bits done already:
    1. Eventuri Intake System - completely changes the car IMO. Makes you drive like a bit of a child as the sound of the induction is so nice. All the flutters and whooshes. Really nice.
    2. H&R 25mm Lowering Springs - again, these are a game changer in terms of looks. In terms of ride quality though, very crashy. I'd like to swap them out for some softer alternatives ideally, any recommendations? I have read that the H&Rs are particularly bad.
    3. 15mm spacers all round *temporary* - This should be the first mod if you have stock wheels in my opinion. The wheels on the RS5 sit so far into the car its a joke. Much better once fitted.
    4. AUTOID Rear Performance Rear Spoiler - Subtle, effective. Works with the overall design of the car.
    5. Gloss Black Badges - Mix of Genuine Audi bits and Gloss Black badges from my company. Needed really to match the rest of the black on the car.
    6. TRE Carbon Fibre Mirror Covers - First mod I made, I love them. Not a fan of the RS silver.
    7. 2 stage machine polish and detail with Car Pro ceramic coating - wow, this car has done 40k miles and it does not look a day past new. Honestly, the guys at AWC Car Detailing smashed this out of the park. Highly recommend if you're UK based.

    Mods on the way:
    • Dillinger 20" Forged Wheels AX1-L - will be the first car in the world to be running these wheels. Excited is an understatement.....
    • Michelin PS4s Tyres, to wrap the new wheels.
    • TTRS Rear Wing: this will split opinions but I wanted something to make the car stand out at shows, whilst retaining an OEM feel. This felt like the obvious choice and I've not seen anyone else do this yet?
    • Alcantara Steering Wheel Retrim by Royal Steering Wheels - UK based company who are the professionals when it comes to wheel retrims ,wouldn't go anywhere else.

And that's it, my RS5 so far! Any thoughts or comments?

Nardo looks great on these cars. Look forward to seeing your wheels on the car it’s going to look fantastic. As for being a BMW guy I don’t blame you for buying an Audi this round (it’s better) as their latest iterations leave a lot to be desired. Welcome to the forums and enjoy your car!

    Thanks Sean!

Couldn't agree more RE BMW. Real shame what they're doing. Hopefully the new M2 will be better.

Forgot another mod I've made, the resonator delete. What a difference that's made. Sounds epic.

I've been running the 034 Motorsport Dynamic+ Springs (https://store.034motorsport.com/dyna...9-audi-s4.html) since nearly day one. I wouldn't characterize the ride as harsh at all. Though, to be honest, I don't recall what stock was like since I installed these almost immediately after taking possession of the car.

Car isn't slammed, but is noticeably lower than stock. With my set up and custom 6/7mm spacers and front wheel well upper bolt removed I get no rubbing and a nearly perfect flush look. Wheels are Vorsteiners 20x10 with et30 offset. Effective offset with the spacers is ET24 in front and ET23 in back. Tires are Michelin AS4s, 285/30/20.

The car looks great but I'm curious to see what route you go to improve the suspension ride quality.

I've heard great things about the KW HAS springs. If I do lower the car, that's the route I'll likely go.

Yeah I think I may consider Eibach or the KW HAS.

New wheels just landed and fitted... they look so good. Dark bronze and look so different depending on lighting... Dillinger AX1-L Forged Wheels.
