Ecs, I was experimenting with my car.
They don't work.
So I straight pipe it.

Car has oem x/h pipe which is small as fk.
That's what the exhaust guy said.

These brake discs/rotors look interesting too. 410mm upgrade for the S8, 2 piece floating. Think I'll try them next time I change discs/rotors.

I believe factory rotors on the S8 are 385mm. How are you planning to fit the 410mm size? Are you getting caliper carriers to move the brake calipers out?

Ordered a sew on steering wheel cover today. Mine will be a little different than this one but you get the idea. They let you choose a lot of options. Worth a shot at about $115 shipped. My wheel isn't in the greatest shape, its a little thin for my liking, and this way I can keep my heated wheel.

Currently running 400mm 2 piece floating Girodisc rotors. The 400mm size is the OEM size for the S8.



The 410mm rotors are a direct bolt on for the S8 with 6 piston calipers.

Map 0 stock
Map 1 91 octane.
Map 2 91 at temps below 75F or 93

Switched my summer tyres over to my winter tyres (Goodyear Ultragrip Performance 265/40/21) last week and had the chance to take car to the drag strip and got a few runs in this weekend. Wanted to see if there was a difference in performance. Seems like my car runs just as good with the winter set up as with the summer set up (Michelin Pilot Super Sport Acoustic 265/35/21) and was getting pretty consistent times.

Obd11 or vcds coding. It basically shifts around 2k and tries to get to 8th gear as soon as possible. Its honestly my daily cruise mode. Keeps steering tight, suspension feels stiffer than comfort but softer than dynamics engine response is slower but still quicker than 90% of traffic.

I recently added this to my TDI. I agree with everything 16AudiS8+ said. Overall much slower throttle response. Suspension does feel stiffer, but not in a good way like when in Dynamic mode.

I'm unofficial butt dyno says it is not any more efficient for me. I've tested a few trips with the car in efficient vs auto, same trip, approximately same weather and traffic, and I get better mpg with auto mode selected.

Regarding efficiency mode, if you go with DS1, you can have it only have cylinder on demand (4 cyl mode) when in efficiency mode.

The mode reduces throttle response and keeps the car in the highest gear possible for improved fuel economy. Some say it feels sluggish but for me I don’t need to use 700+ hp going to the shops all the time lol

You need VCDS or OBD11 to enable this. Plenty of threads on how to enable it in the C7 threads

If you flash with COD off, it will remain enabled in efficiency mode.

Hmm, I don't think the 3.0TDI does COD. I believe that's only on the 4.0TT. Which would make sense as too why I don't really see much of an improvement in efficiency mode.

Took the car to the drag strip. APR stage 1 and intakes - best was 11.3 sec with 121 MPH trap. Not bad but makes me want to go stage 2

Yea that was a stage 3 RS7 performance and also happens to be car 27 on that time slip. His only problem was gaining traction. He did run a 10.9 that day when he managed to grab.

I had no idea that there was 100lb difference between RS7 and S7, good to know. Also surprising that there is so little difference in weight between the S8 and S7
