To save you all waiting on 034.

    Sorry to disappoint.

You cannot add a larger rotor with the stock akebono 6 pot calipers. 350mm is the largest you can go.

The radius/scallop of the caliper is to suit that size. I have tried a 380mm rotor with 15mm spacers between the caliper and caliper carrier and the caliper bottoms out leaving the pads 10mm off of the rotor and miles from the caliper being tighten down to the carrier.

The rs caliper is different as is scalloped to suit the 375mm rotor.

If 034 have been working on a bigger rotor upgrade for sometime then they would have encountered this as soon as they planted a larger rotor on the car.

While you are not incorrect that the radius of the caliper is designed for the factory rotor, we have been working on some solutions to this, as well as some OE replacement rotors.

We at 034Motorsport will always conduct our own research for products, and have a wealth of knowledge and skillsets that many other companies lack in being able to creatively problem-solve during the design of products, and substantively engineer quality products.

You will notice in my comments that I have not confirmed what type of rotor we are going with, as we are still conducting tests. I would never commit to something that we have not thoroughly tested and deemed safe/applicable. Until we have verified these things, our statement regarding where our rotors are is that they are in development.

I would be more than happy to upgrade my SQ5 Sportback rotors if they resembled something similar to what Z1 Motorsports offers as a drop-in & reasonable cost replacement, in a 2-piece rotor, on my other platform, the Infiniti Q50/Q60:

    https://www.z1motorsports.com/z1-pro...t-p-15468.html

I like this option because it shaved 10 lbs/corner off the front, and 5 lbs/corner off the rear, and the rotor rings are offered in drilled & slotted, or my preference - sprinkle slotted.

All this for just under $1200. Add SS lines and a set of Akebono low-dust street pads. Job done!

If you mean x-pipe to delete the resonators, IMO, with HFC or catless, it’ll be too rowdy for my tastes.

As you we all know, 034 requires intake, intercooler and downpipe.

Most definitely! I’m square away with dp. Have RocEuro intake as well, but still patiently waiting for the X34 or even their P34. As you’re aware, there are dp options for us.

Seems like Redstar is the best option at the moment, what do you have?

No personal experience with Redstar. From all the feedback and images I’ve read and seen online, their welds are top notch. It would look really nice up till you get it installed and put the heat shield and cover back on….out of sight, out of mind.

Previously had the Milltek. Still have it in storage if anyone wants to take it. Now have the CTS Turbo mated to the TTE510.

IMO, a downpipe is a downpipe (whether there’s power to be had or just for sound). Resonance might be the only distinguishing factor between downpipe brands depending on your catback setup.

CTS Catted or test pipe? Let us know how that goes. I've been strongly considering one, want to know if the catted one is worth it, since 034 seemed to put out the opinion it's junk for the price. Makes me want to just go catless and eff it.

    Question to 034...

When will an update be available for Stage 1? Interested to see if there are any improvement for burble on overrun.
    ETA for TCU?
ETA for downpipe for the SQ5? I assume the price/quality will be similar to S4/S5 downpipe?

Many of us are eyeing on the stage 2 map but need supporting hardware that are harder to come by for our SQ5 since most parts are different to the S4/S5. So any approximate ETA will really help us make some of the choices

Nice! Put some videos up if u can. I cant find anyone with CTS turbo catted on youtube. Most video are catless on the S4/S5.

I second all this. So close to making this my next purchase.

I know the CTS Cat might not be the best, but if it kills most the smell, I'm in.

Zero smell, but I am running e85.
Awesome! Very tempted to get the CTS turbo catted downpipe to try then. Did u heat wrap the cat during the install? TBH, the CTS cat looks very small when compare to factory cat so there is a lot of open space around the cat which wasn't there before so having no heat shield may not be as critical.

To those who are running E85, is it true that the exhaust smells like sweet popcorn when running E85?

When will an update be available for Stage 1? Interested to see if there are any improvement for burble on overrun.
    ETA for TCU?
ETA for downpipe for the SQ5? I assume the price/quality will be similar to S4/S5 downpipe?

Many of us are eyeing on the stage 2 map but need supporting hardware that are harder to come by for our SQ5 since most parts are different to the S4/S5. So any approximate ETA will really help us make some of the choices
I too am curious when the update will come out to fix the complete lack of burble.

Very nice. You have the resonator delete as well?

I'll be ordering mine soon. You've solidified it for me. Can't wait to go stage 2, the Stage 1 E85 file is already fun, I can only imagine Stage 2.
I understand it's not a ton more power, but I would think the turbo would spool a little faster and the improved flow has gotta open up the top end a bit.

    Stoked!

ALL OF THIS. I thought I was tripping when I tuned the car, even the stock overrun was gone. Definitely need an ETA on downpipe and update.

I thought I was tripping. Flashing it took even the stock overrun away.
