Save Up to 15% on Control Arms during the 034Motorsport Fourth of July Sale - Ending July 15th!

The factory front control arms are an integral part of your suspension but can start wearing out as early as 40,000 miles - especially on enthusiast-owned vehicles that are driven hard on the street or track. As the rubber bushings degrade and ball joints develop play, alignment is compromised, and steering becomes less precise.

034Motorsport Density Line Control Arms are designed to be a performance replacement, featuring high-durometer rubber bushings and high-quality ball joints. Density Line Control Arms are engineered to limit unwanted deflection in the suspension, resulting in tighter handling and more precise steering response than even brand-new factory control arms can offer!

Do you guys have an updated blog posts that talk about the various tune revisions and what they consist of? Just noticed today that there's a 3.0.2 for the B9 S4 Stage 1 tune, but I can't find any info on it online.

    R3.0 was discussed here: https://www.audizine.com/forum/showt...lable-from-034!

    R3.0 Revision Notes:
    • Launch Control Optimizations:
    • Improved Launch Control Setpoint through Optimized Transmission Stall Strategies
    • Improved Post-Launch Torque Control for Improved Acceleration
    • Rev Limiter Optimizations for a Broader Range of Operating Conditions
    • Coolant Temperature Target Refinements
    • Coolant Temperature Control Refinements to the Power Reduction Gradient when Reducing Output to Control Heat
    • Further Lambda Target and Fueling Enrichment Optimization Based Upon Load and EGTs for Cylinder Cooling and Fuel Enrichment
    • High-Side Fuel Pressure Control Optimizations for Tighter Control and Accuracy
    • Ignition Timing Refinements During Gear Shift Events to Optimize Shift Quality and Boost Control

We typically do not have notes for the third digit revisions as they are typically box code specific revisions. We break down our nomenclature here as well:

    Revision Nomenclature Breakdown

Revisions will be listed under 3 main categories, as shown in the numbering of the revision.

    Example: R7.1.5

The first digit signifies a Major Revision/version change/count. In this example, 7 would be the most recent of major revisions. These numbers change when a major feature has been added or updated (such as Advanced Launch Control or higher power output files).

The second digit signifies a minor revision/version change/count or changes to files that are not considered major but are noticeable in the overall performance and refinement of the car. In this example, the 1 in R7.1.5 would mean that a minor change was added over the base R7 file.

The third digit signifies a sub-revision/version change/count or changes that are very minor/unnoticeable. These adjustments are generally box-code specific adjustments or bug fixes that change parameters of the tuning that most will never notice in their day to day driving but refines the overall file by solving minor bugs. In this example, the 5 in R7.1.5 would be the 5th minor sub-revision to this file on this box code.

Note: Not every box code needs the same sub-revision changes. Often they are box code specific and not necessary for every box code. If there is no sub-revision number listed for your file on your portal, then there is no need for an update in that category of the patch.

kinda figured that, but wanted to double check to make sure you guys didn't deviate from typical naming conventions.

    I'll always have hope. xD
Maybe it'll happen the same way KliMax happened for the B8/8.5. I didn't expect that at all and it made the DSG behave so much better.

With 034SPI, switching octanes happens in just a couple of minutes now. We're working on some other advanced features & hardware for the B9 to take it to the next level.

It is a great time to be a B9 owner!

A New ECU & TCU Tune Revision is Now Available for your B9 3.0T EA839 from 034Motorsport! Simply log into your 034Motorsport flashing portal, select the latest revision, and flash!

A new revision of the 034Motorsport B9 3.0T ECU & AL552 TCU tune has been added to the server and is available to flash via your flashing portal! The 034Motorsport Calibration Team has been hard at work, further advancing the software and calibration strategies we have honed throughout the development process of our world-class EA839 tuning suite.

    OEM Software Update:
Audi has made available software updates for select ECU Box Codes of the B9 Generation (2018 - 2020). These files are now available to select individuals. All users should select their ECU under “Flashing” while utilizing 034SPI or PC flashing client to see if there is an available OEM update. If you see an option labeled "OEM Update," we ask that you flash this OEM update. After flashing the OEM update, return to the ECU folder and proceed to flash your vehicle to the appropriate octane & specification that you would normally run.

R3.1 ECU Revision Update for Stage 1/1+ & Stage 2/2+ Vehicles:
For all Stage 1, 1+, 2, and 2+ customers, the R3.1 ECU Tune Update is available for flashing. This update should be flashed after the OEM software update, if that option is available to you. The R3.1 ECU Tune Update implements bug fixes and adjustments necessary to accommodate the No Auto Upshift feature. Simply log into your 034Motorsport flashing portal, select the R3.1 Revision, and flash!

R2.0 TCU Tune Update Featuring KLi-MAX
034Motorsport takes pride in listening to our customer feedback. We engaged in one of our largest customer feedback programs to date to gather extensive first-hand feedback on the qualitative drivability improvements we’ve made to suit the desires of our customers. We worked tirelessly with our testers on multiple revisions to fine-tune the characteristics of our TCU files to what our customers have found as the best driving and performing TCU file options to date.

Through the implementation of this testing and calibrating further refinements and features to our TCU files, 034Motorsport is proud to offer this comprehensive update. This update also brings new and exciting features to the AL552 transmission—Rolling KLi-MAX, Second Gear Launch Control, and No Auto Upshift—optimized for maximum performance without compromising safety.
The Stage 2 & 3 R2.0 TCU Tune Update is also now available for flashing with new and exciting features! Simply log into your 034Motorsport flashing portal, select the latest revision, and flash!

Note: This TCU Update is only for 2018 - 2020 B9 TCU Box Codes. The R2.0 TCU Tune Update for B9.5 (2021-2022) is currently in development and will be released at a later date.

    Stage 2 TCU Revision Notes:
    Drive Mode
    • Further optimized drivability and shift quality to offer smoother, refined upshifts and downshifts
    • Optimized shift maps at partial throttle to reduce "gear hunting"

    Sport Mode
    • Further refined drivability and shift quality to offer crisp, quick upshifts and rev-matched downshifts without being overly aggressive
    • Optimized shift maps at partial throttle to reduce "gear hunting"
    • Kickdown Switch Optimized for Quicker Use
    • Removal of Octane Specific File Variants
    • The Stage 2 TCU tune is now available for all octanes within a single file.
    • In Sport & Drive, you will experience optimized shift points unique to each gear, generally lower than redline.
    • This mode allows for the quickest & fastest acceleration.
    • In Manual Mode, you will be able to shift your vehicle at redline, allowing you to ring out each gear!
    • New Features Available for Flashing:
    • These new features will be available in your flashing portal. Please read below to see more about each feature and how to use them.
    • Rolling KLi-MAX
    • No Auto Upshift

    Stage 3 TCU Revision Notes:
    Drive Mode
    • Further optimized drivability and shift quality to offer smoother, refined upshifts and downshifts
    • Optimized shift maps at partial throttle to reduce "gear hunting"

    Sport Mode
    • Further refined drivability and shift quality to offer crisp, quick upshifts and downshifts without being overly aggressive
    • Optimized shift maps at partial throttle to reduce "gear hunting"
    • Kickdown Switch Optimized for Quicker Use
    • New Features Available for Flashing:
    • These new features will be available in your flashing portal. Please read below to see more about each feature and how to use them.
    • Rolling KLi-MAX
    • No Auto Upshift
    • Second Gear Launch

    All New Features:

    Stage 2 & 3 TCU - Rolling KLi-MAX
By flashing the "+ Rolling KLi-MAX" TCU file, you are enabling Rolling KLi-MAX! KLi-MAX shifting is the activation of 034Motorsport optimized AMAX gear shifts, something that is already used as a shift strategy during the use of launch control, allowing for the quickest and fastest shifts. KLi-MAX shifts minimize the torque reduction that takes place during a gear shift while increasing necessary clutch and line pressures to safely transfer more torque throughout the gear shift.
With the addition of Rolling KLi-MAX, this shifting strategy can now be engaged at any time, not just when using launch control! This shift strategy is now added to additional transmission modes (Sport & Manual) and will activate at wide-open throttle over 5,500 RPMUsers will audibly notice the lack of "farts" while on this file at wide-open-throttle. This strategy reduces the potential for transmission slip and allows for the fastest shifts possible, and is best used when looking to maximize straight-line acceleration from a roll.
See our How-To video for helpful tips and instructions on how to activate and operate this file.
NOTE: We do not recommend toggling Rolling KLi-MAX during significant prolonged wide-open throttle driving, like during an HDPE Track Session.

    Stage 2 & 3 TCU - No Auto Upshift
By flashing the "+No Auto Upshift" file available in your flashing portal, your vehicle will not automatically upshift in manual mode. Your vehicle instead will hold at the engine redline until you shift your car. This feature is especially helpful when driving during HDPE or Autocross events where you want to ensure the car stays in the exact gear you want. This is a feature that is standard with the factory RS5, which we now offer to you with your S4, S5, or SQ5!

NOTE: Stage 1 & 2 ECU Customers must be updated to the latest ECU variant (R3.1 or Later) to run this TCU file variant. We recommend all customers ensure they are flashed to the latest available version of their ECU tune visible on their flashing portal. If your current ECU variant matches the current available file, then you are up to date and ready to go!

Stage 3 TCU Only - Second Gear Launch

By flashing the "+2nd Gear Launch" file available to Stage 3 TCU customers in their flashing portal, your will be able to toggle between launching in 1st gear or 2nd gear while in the car. 034Motorsport engineers have implemented the option of 2nd Gear Launch for Stage 3 customers as a way to help manage wheelspin in lower traction surfaces. In times or locations where you experience excessive wheel spin while launching in 1st gear, you can select to launch in 2nd gear to better apply the significant torque of Stage 3.
See our How- To video for helpful tips and instructions on how to activate and operate this file.

NOTE: We do not recommend using this file when grip conditions are high or optimal. In our testing, we have found that the fastest accelerating launch method when grip is ideal is to launch in 1st gear.

    Why Are There New Revisions?

We at 034Motorsport strive to provide the most up to date and optimized files available for your car and continually look for opportunities to improve on what we produce. As technology advances or a platform develops, we refine and Improve files as needed. In some cases, these are very minor adjustments, whereas, in others, these updates can bring a whole round of feature additions and performance changes. More info can be found below on how to identify a large change vs a minor/unnoticeable change based on the revision number.

In this example, the 5 in R7.1.5 would be the 5th minor sub-revision to this file on this box code.

Note: Not every box code needs the same sub-revision changes. Often they are box code specific and not necessary for every box code. If there is no sub-revision number listed for your file on your portal, then there is no need for an update in that category of the patch.

saw you released the PCV and catch can. Looks great and the pricing is solid. Just curious if this is something that can be flagged during visual inspection for smog? I want this to prevent carbon build up and have an extra safety net for the PCV, but dont want to swap it out everytime I smog

While it functionally operates the same as the factory component, it would not pass an emissions inspection.

is this new or promoting an existing product?

If this is your existing HPFP piston upgrade, are you doing these promos (here and IG, etc) in the last few weeks to sell out old/existing stock in place of a larger flow, new HPFP that can meet high performance cold weather fuelling demands + appropriate injectors and/or a "best case, low cost" non-PI solution for those who want to squeeze the lemon (ethanol/race fuel) w/o going through the PI expense or????

It could, obviously, just be standard promotion.

    Thanks for any input.

We like keeping our exciting products front of mind for our customers to experience and enjoy them as much as we do! We have some other upgrades in the works, but this one is here to stay :)

If you drive your B9/B9.5 Audi S4/S5, RS4/RS5 & C8 S6/S7 on track, push it hard on backroads, or even during daily commutes in hot climates, the 034Motorsport Radiator Upgrade is the perfect solution to help regulate and maintain optimal engine coolant temperature. High-performance driving, especially with added power, can push your engine to generate excessive heat that the factory main radiator may struggle to dissipate. This can lead to elevated coolant temperatures, reducing the effectiveness of your vehicle’s cooling system and potentially impacting performance. The 034Motorsport Radiator Upgrade is designed to address these challenges, ensuring your EA839 3.0T stays cool no matter the conditions.

The 034Motorsport Radiator Upgrade is designed to replace your factory radiator with the larger and more efficient 034Motorsport Radiator, engineered in collaboration with the cooling experts at CSF Radiators. The 034Motorsport Radiator Upgrade utilizes an all-aluminum construction, engineered to be a drop-in replacement for the factory radiator. Featuring a thicker performance radiator core and re-engineered billet aluminum end tanks to improve the efficiency of coolant flow, the 034Motorsport Radiator Upgrade increases the coolant capacity by 40% and improves heat transfer from the coolant to the air. This improvement in capacity results in a 16% improvement in cooling capacity by allowing your vehicle to retain the optimal temperature during high-performance driving and mitigating temperatures from rising!

Not only is it larger, but the 034Motorsport Radiator Upgrade utilizes 65 individual 2-row B-tube technology cooling tubes that carry coolant across the radiator core to help disperse heat, significantly reducing recovery time between pulls! CSF’s “B-tubes” are carefully formed and seam-brazed for a stronger, more efficient design than traditional welded “O” tubes. This allows for thinner, lighter aluminum with improved cooling. The seam-brazed inlet increases heat transfer surface area by ~15%, delivering the efficiency of two smaller tubes within the same space. This improved tube design over the factory is integral to enhancing the cooling process of the 034Motorsport Radiator Upgrade.

034Motorsport Engineers extensively tested the 034Motorsport Radiator Upgrade on 034Motorsport's Development B9 S4 & RS5 on backroads and at multiple racetracks. Whether you’re looking to tackle backroad and track adventures or live in a higher-temperature climate, the Radiator Upgrade provides the cooling performance you need to keep your engine running at its best, lap after lap, mile after mile, regardless of the ambient temperature!

Additional Cooling Upgrades for B9/B9.5 Audi S4/S5:
When looking to further improve the cooling performance of your Audi B9 S4/S5, consider pairing the 034Motorsport Radiator Upgrade with the Auxiliary Radiator Upgrade Kit, which replaces the factory side-mounted radiator with an upgraded unit from CSF Radiators!

    Features:
    • All Aluminum Construction
    • Billet Aluminum End Tanks With Machined Inlet & Outlet, and Mounting Provisions
    • 100% Tig Welded
    • Direct, Drop-In Installation, Compatible with OEM Accessories
    • 40% Increase in Radiator Coolant Capacity Over Factory Radiator
    • OEM: 2.5L Coolant Capacity
    • 034: 3.5L Coolant Capacity
    • Increased Core Thickness Over Factory Radiator
    • OEM: 35mm
    • 034: 42mm

As with any 034 product, if you are having an installation or product issue, please email [email protected] with photos and details on what you're experiencing so our team can assist with a resolution. We have not seen any form of widespread issue with these kits in the field (with well over 200+ installed) when it comes to the fittings. If anyone is experiencing an issue, they should email the one listed above so we can evaluate.

How is this issue manifesting itself? Strong odor, or performance issue? I had to RMA my setup back because the fumes from under the hood were at an unacceptable level and I'm just wondering if this was what you're referencing, or if there was something else too. I haven't had a chance to install the returned parts yet, so I can't say for sure whether the issue was fully addressed or not.

couple people posted issues with the pinch fittings that go to the charge and intake pipes sucking vacuum as well as at the oil separator/pcv point.

Definitely a strong odor coming from the engine bay if recirc for your air isn't on. Mine has a lot of oil sweating from the connection to the PCV and the throttle body. Id imagine there is some vacuum leakage going on as I saw some pooled up oil at the fitting connections. I had to swap out my old OEM pcv hose cos I was tired of having to wipe up the oil and the smell kept coming back. Waiting on 034 response to see what my options are or if there is a fix because I don't want to continue using this due to the smell.

We are still working on TCU software for 2022+ B9.5 models with a locked TCU and still do not have an ETA at this time.
