Brilliant, are you sure this is correct? I studied the new law and from what I was able to decipher, smog shops are using a new software that interrogates the ECU for non stock files. If those files do not match a pre compiled list of CARB approved tunes, the car will be rejected. However, if the scan finds the tune is approved, the car will pass as long as it meets the emissions standards.
