Audi S6 APR Stage 1 questions
I’m looking forward to tune my 2015 Audi S6 with a APR Stage 1 tune with 93 Octane. I’ve had this car for around 1 and a half years with 65k on the ODO. Luckily I haven’t my turbos blow out on me yet, I get oil changes every 3000-5000 miles.

Has anyone have/had issues with a APR Stage 1 tune? Too much power for the transmission/differential to handle?

If anyone can help me out that would be truly appreciated. With any guidance on what I should do as well.

I also have a extended warranty, and I have found a tuner friendly mechanic.

Sounds like you need dyno spectrum ds1, for every reason.

if you damage the transmission or engine at any point after tuning, warranty will want to check the ecu's programming before approving payment. If you are concerned about keeping your warranty, don't tune.

DS1 would be my choice, even though APR is cheaper now. You can log stuff at home, and update maps without having to visit an apr dealer. You can also start dabbling with e85 on the DS1. APR doesn't have e85 listed as a fuel for their tune. just 91/93/100.

I’ve had APR Stage 1 on my 2016 S7 for the past 4 years, now at 63k miles.
    Love it, no issues.
Had the TCU tune at the same time (discounted sale price at same time)
I also had them disable COD, after having a motor mount issue.

Any ECU modification, piggy back or otherwise can be found by the dealer, so will invalidate the warranty. APR offer a Stage 1 with warranty option.

Again, many threads discuss this. Audi can easily detect an ECU flash and in theory can infer a piggyback tune. Whether that invalidates an extended warranty depends on many factors such as the warranty company and the cost of the repair. There are threads discussing horror stories of denied warranty coverage but also threads of people who had full expensive repairs paid for. Also, you are not the original owner, so it is possible the car was tuned in the past and already may have a warranty concern even if it was "flashed back to stock" before you purchased it.

I have a 2015 s6, with the apr stage 1 ecu and tcu tune. To my knowledge and from my experience with the car for the last year and a half, the stage 1 tune would be fine on the transmission, especially if you have the tcu tune as well. Ive heard that there are extended warranties that allow tunes but ive never verified it myself. For my turbos i got the jhm oil strainer relocation kit and do 5k oci. When I had the kit installed i had the shop send me picture of my turbos and there was no marks on the side smooth spin and no shaft play. I still have to do motor mounts but im trying to wait for 034 motorsport to come out with their aftermarket solution. It seems like now more than ever more after market parts are being developed for this platform.
