DM me your email and I can share sleepy_rs3's file which appears to be the most recent. I'm not aware of any indicator in the file to show what version etc it could be.

So is the consensus these are worth messing with? Would they help with the MSS kit? Are there any program files set up for the MSS kit? The MSS set up is not impressing me so far......

One of the maps they made was with the MSS kit in mind. However the spring rates of the MSS kit to OEM are quite similar, so its a bit of a wash. If you have the time to setup and tweak then it could be worthwhile, but you really need to have patience. A standard multi way coilover would be far simpler to setup due to their being less adjustment. More importantly the coilovers would be shorter and therefore have more travel.

What issue are you having with your MSS kit?

I find the oem mag-ride tolerable on std but a little harsh on square edge surface conditions, on dynamic it is horrible. Felt like shitty coilovers but they were controlled and dampened. Probably great on a good race track. I wanted the car lower and was impressed with the MSS reviews so that is what I went with to retain the dual setting mag ride. So now I find std setting smoother but the car is floaty, as in low dampening control and will blow thru the travel quickly. Now on dynamic it feels better controlled and less harsh then the OEM on dynamic but not as firm and feels less track like but better on road imperfections. Still a little un-dampened in my opinion.

So how I feel about it is I kinda lost part of the dual settings since I really can't digest the std setting any longer and feel I have to run in dynamic all the time which was not the original plan.

Also I didn't slam the car, I went with -12mm f & -5mm rear from oem which is 345 front and 349 rear to keep the 5mm frontward rake as recommended.

I have been wondering about that mag ride re-calibration procedure I have seen mentioned..... if it is actually functional or not.

The problem with DSC is that the maps are not copies of the original Audi files that you can just tweak form there, it really is a brand new file with their quick settings, which work ok with stock height springs. Although the MSS is similar in rate, it'll still take quite a lot of tweaking to get it to your liking. I was in a similar position, Comfort and Auto felt ok most of the time, Dynamic felt better, but was too much all the time, so I wanted to just tweak the rear a little. I've found myself needing to tweak a lot more than I wanted to initially. It is both frustrating and rewarding, its taken a lot of time, and I foresee it needing more still. A simple two and even three way coilover system would have been much faster to get right, for many obvious reasons. I often find myself thinking of starting over again and again.

The OEM struts just don't have a lot of travel, they're going to get into the stops pretty easily, even with minimal lowering, that's why far stiffer springs are needed.

Contrary to popular opinion mag ride recalibration DOES in fact work and it does produce pretty significant differences. I tried it with the idea that I would barely notice a difference. It was quite different, car rode much smoother and firmer all at once. Now I did go with a larger drop than you did, so you may not notice it as much, but I would start from there. If you don't want to go to the dealer, you can always buy the device and have someone from abroad run the calibration itself.

Awesome info..... thank you for the feedback. I will look into the calibration. I have all my measurements so if I can get the software (ODIS?) I have a windows laptop I used for coding/tuning all the BMW's over the years

You can buy a knock off version of ODIS online. Some have warned that they have some sort of malware on the file, but it will work, have done it this way before.

Would you say going the ODIS route is better than OBD11? Also do you have a trusted source or recommendation to get set up. Would even consider paying someone if it is reasonable but iZ need to shut off the maintenance reminder also so I have a couple things that need addressed

OBD11 can't do the ride height calibration. I've petitioned them to make it so that it can, but they won't do it. There's a user on here that says they've done it using RossTech or OBD11, but they won't disclose how. Personally I would get the OBD11 regardless if you're doing any of your own maintenance etc. RossTech is better, but if you're just doing simple things and not logging etc, then OBD11 is good enough. From what I recall when we did the ride height calibration using ODIS clone, it was pretty straightforward, the guy I worked with didn't have prior knowledge, so we just went for it. Got it right on the first shot, especially since the system walks you through the steps. The dealer can also do this, I would expect they charge an hour of labor, not too terrible in the grand scheme of things. There's a few guys in the fb groups at least in the UK that can do remote adjustments. They do say that you have to buy the device first, but I don't recall if you have to install the software etc on your machine as well. If you do not, I think that'd totally be worth it, no trip to the dealer and no need to install questionable software.
