So, I decided to pull the trigger and ordered the S1 ECU tune from EPL and I also added the trans tune as well. 2017 A6 3.0t
I'm wondering will my wife know the difference if she drives conservative.

My guess is first time pulling on highway a little more aggressively she may feel it. Id suggest playing the " i think somethings wrong with the car" over next week then tune and say you fixed it haha so it feels more peppy?

i never have this issue my wife asks when are we tuning the cars as soon as we get them!

I don't have an epl tcu or eng tune, I have IE dual pulley and a tcu tune from melen. I can say that if their tcu tune is anything like melen's...it will be noticeable even driving like miss daisy. I guess it depends on where they put the tune though. Whether its in the manual, sport,or drive mode and then where does the Mrs.'s keep it while she drives it. If they are in the same modes then it could raise a flag to her.

Mine is pretty aggressive and even driving easy it still shifts high in the rpm's and it also snaps into the next gear unlike the oem smooth/sluggish shifts so a normal person would think something is wrong.
As far as the eng tune, I went straight from stock to dual pulley so I don't know how much of a change a single pulley is. I'm sure someone else may chime in that is that way or had it that way and give you more info.

I have both the epl tcu and dual pulley tune, the power is noticeable but if left in drive the shifting is "normal" put into sport or manual and it's a different animal.

I am very satisfied with my EPL tcu flash.

Your setup is basically what I have.

Stage 1 you will feel the power continuing on to redline, instead of drop off after 5k ish (*where stock map bleeds off the boost, EPL S1 holds onto it).
The TCU is where I felt the most change throughout entire powerband - but you need to be in S mode to notice the significant difference.

Redline is 7k with the TCU, so 0-60 is right at the end of 2nd gear for me which would give you a faster 0-60 time as well.

If your wife drives in D mode and not WOT, it behaves the same way like you would in stock.
First day will be a bit sluggish during adaptation period, give it a day or 2 after flash and you'll feel the true potential - so don't be too disappointed trying to drive it right after flash

Very cool! thanks for the info.
Man , I'm wondering if I shouldn't have went stage two. I see a lot of people going straight to 2. Oh well maybe next time.

I'm looking to go stage 2 this summer. Power is addicting!

Got the CTS 192mm crank pulley and JHM HX sitting in the garage ready to go, just waiting for a EPL sale to pull the trigger on the S2 tune.
Spoke with Chris, decided to go crank pulley instead of SC pulley for a higher ratio to maximize S2 single pulley map, and tackle the OE crank pulley issue in one go.

Same setup here, my wife drive the Audi just eventually, her daily is a big heavy SUV, so when she go the the Audi the different in so big that she never noticed (I told her after her first drive, like, did you feel anything different?! Answer was no, your car was always faster. So, is if she is used to the car she will feel the difference even in D, if not, no.

Question to CREC owners, when in D, driving slow, do you feel when the supercharger is engaged? I feel annoying and only drive on S.

You can somewhat feel that the engine is down on power but honestly once you give it some throttle the clutch engages pretty fast. I’ve done some vcds logging while driving around in d and aside from low throttle input it’s basically engaged. I drive in dynamic 100% of the time with transmission in d unless I’m doing a pull or something then it’s in s. Comfort mode may be different but I never use it

My wife only drives in Comfort mode. She probably won't even notice a difference.
