Ok, now it looks proper! Never liked that smoked look, this is perfect now

What's with the roof cross bars They are way to far apart hehe
But again, which ones are they, as there are no OEM in North America as far as I know.

If so then that might explain why the solution you showed needed a relay that switches a separate 12V (non-PWM) line to the LEDs when the lights are on. It's still a bandaid work around but that might be a better way to approach it. I'll post up what I find when I do it (likely when I get around to adding an HX too ).
There is definitely a PWM being used in our boats. The Leds "hyper flash" every time voltage is applied to check the circuit. Of course that only happens when they are off, which I dont might coding my fogs as DRL so they would be always on.. but for an issue like reverse lights doing that when going down the highway, that can lead to issues with the law, lol.

Yeah, I decided against the smoked myself once I saw how clean body color moulds that through.

They are far apart, but i set them that way to properly carry my basket, when its loaded. Which, truthfully, is a lot more than i thought it would be.. Especially when its sets of wheels every week trying to find what i like on this beast of a car! (Pics below)

They are sold by OMACUSA, but are for a B8 A4 Avant, lightly modified. I went with those due to the flush style mounts and the "whispbar" style cross bars. SUPER low noise. I love them.

No, no issues. Lamin-x is pretty high quality. I also trimmed it basically perfect to the light. Wont come up unless you want it to!

are your new fogs still yellow-ish ?

I have basically 4-5 different bulb colours now, since I got my transparent side marker bulbs lol

I would like to find a bulb for my bumper side markers to match the blue-ish tinge of the DRL; but i haven't found anybody with first hand experience with a bulb that matches.

They are as white as halogen can be, I guess. If I remember right, they are Sylvania. I matched mine to basically headlight because I havent set my fog as DRL since we cant run LED without the error.

As for side markers, mine are fouble wrapped in 3m black to prevent any color or light from showing through.

Had some fun this weekend re-doing the interior trim. Its an interesting design to say the least, but with it looking satin/sheen, should match an alcantara/suede headliner and steering wheel I plan on going with

Yeah, it will look pretty neat. I was aiming for a forged carbon fiber but I misclicked, however I do genuinely like it. When I only did one I sat there like "uhhhh I dont know, I should have gotten my money back"

For now, my center console is still gloss black. I plan on redoing it because it was rushed to see if I could do it in the car. I ordered my Carplay/AA unit and will have to remove some of the dash anyways, so I'll pull the whole console then and redo it. Ive debated satin, but I'm not sure.

And also, thank you! Its definitely something I like after seeing it completed. And I agree, the finger prints are crazy, but its the same with the black! I just couldnt stand the sight of the woodgrain anymore.

Can you feel the pattern on that wrap?
I'd like to get something with a slight texture would help with smudges.

    It's textured. No fingerprints possible
I have actually thought about going over it in clear to give it a more OEM feel.

Its Vvivid. As someone who wraps cars, I can say with utmost resolve, I do not like this brand and how it wraps. They have some cool colors, designs, etc.. But the material itself is something I, and alot of other people in the same, do not like in the least. I prefer 3m or Avery Dennison myself.

However! It worked, it looks pretty good, and I'm happy with it.

Did you do the shifter update, or was it already done? If you did, how difficult was it? I love that look so much more. I am looking at a 2011 in upper NY at the moment. Just trying to make up my mind if i am going to pull the trigger.

Picked up a complete 2011 front bumper yesterday! Unfortunately had to perform some plastic repairs due to it tearing upon removal (not a pick your part style junkyard, they pull it for you after inspection) but I own a plastic welder and had some free time as well. Due to that, got it for an absolute STEAL! Looks great and I can support the weight of the bumper by the portion that originally tore. Should look great when the wagon is wrapped!

Also, as a second update of the night, I can check off the Headunit upgrade.
Complete unit from AliExpress showed up yesterday! Photos upon install. Will either be in the spring or one day this winter when I can predict my dealer being slow based on appointment count.

It does! Its an aliexpress unit that is very OEM+ looking. And its for 2G! Here is a stock photo, but once I get it installed and verified I'll give it the okay and drop a link!
Its about 480 shipped and that includes adding the backup camera option that replaces the hatch handle as well (also OEM+). Its a gamble, but I can give my input after install so no one else gambles as well!

The tabs on the sides of my bumper cracked as well so I need to do a similar repair, what type of plastic is the bumper?

Also what plastic welder did you use? Link?

Not sure what type of plastic the bumper is, but I picked this up a few years ago for a few different things

Recommendations are to remove the bumper, superglue it together how you want/need it to sit first, then use the plastic welder to fuse them together more permanently.
I let my iron get hot for about 10 minutes first so it doesnt cool down with the first touches.

So you didn’t need to add any plastic for the welding process? (that’s where it would be important to know the plastic type)

The bumper you picked up is absolutely identical to what I have on mine too, grille and all (minus headlight washers). Very common for the bumper tabs to be cracked like that (bodyshop confirmed this) so having a good method to repair saves you alot of money over a new one. That’s gonna look really sharp when it’s all done.

Its only common because people dont know how to pull these bumpers! Lol, I'm a mechanic, and in that, I know not to just yoink, rip, and tear if its not moving! People just forget about the 10mm nut. hidden behind and under the headlight

That being said, the kit comes with filler plastic as well. Which I'm assuming is a generic soft plastic. It melts and hardens pretty well.
