NPuter's Stealth Daytona RS6 - Photos and Mods

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
As I've done with my past cars, creating a thread to share mod progression and pictures, which there will be a lot of :)

Pickup day on Dec. 11 - order was placed with the initial launch allocations in March. This is an Audi Sport Configuration #1 car with gray ceramic brakes added.
Can't thank the team at Audi Wilmington (DE) enough. Awesome group there.

Alongside my lapse in judgment trying a BMW
In all honesty though, the F80 M3 is a pretty special car. Build quality is not Audi, and looks are subjective, but as a driver's car, I immensely enjoyed it.

I had it shipped straight to Hugh's Detailing in Miami for full Xpel Stealth, Modesta exterior ceramic and interior leather coatings, and Prestige Specta PhotoSync IRD 30% tint.
They did an incredible job (and a stealth conversion is not easy, as many of you know) - would highly recommend them if you are in the South Florida region.

The gloss black interior pieces were also wrapped with stealth, which turned out better than I expected. Going to finish it off with matte screen protectors (the stealth did not work on them).

The car was then transported to MTM USA for Milltek catback installation.

Finally, a month after purchase, I got to drive the car for the first time.

I am really happy with the exhaust. I know there have been mixed reviews, but for someone who is looking for something loud(ish), and doesn't want to do downpipes, this is perfect. I've heard Akrapovic in person, and notwithstanding the large price difference, I prefer the Milltek as I was looking for something more aftermarket sounding and less OEM+. I will be adding catted downpipes with MTM stage 2 tune, and that should make it properly loud and quick

Then it was finally home and time for what I was really waiting for - BC Forged MLE81 full brushed and MRG titanium stud conversion. Tire size is the stock 285/30/22, but I went with Hankook S1 Evo3s as I was hoping they would stretch less than the Pzero and Pilot Sport 4s, which they in fact do. Lowered with the CETE module.

    And the first proper picture

The car looks great. What did you do to the headlights (last pic) to eliminate the orange reflector? Did you modify them or replace them with Euro spec units?

At first glance I though the sheet of carboard was the floormat. Honestly think the brown looks pretty amazing with the rest of the leather. Car looks absolutely dialed

I too love that stealth gray. You’ve convinced me. Mine is coming with DG too...I started to get a little jealous of others until I saw Nicks.
I mean, look at that pic of the left rear wheel arch...it glows orange!
I just don’t know any baller detailers in the Chicago area that could do it like Nicks.

Anyone have a recommendation for me??
    Thanks, Matt

Thanks! I wanted flexibility to play around with different sized spacers without needing multiple sets of bolts. I like the look of studs too. And just because :)

And lets be honest it makes putting the wheels back on much easier than holding it while lining up a bolt...

Why spacers? Were you not happy w the offset of the wheels?

I ordered these wheels before any RS6s had even landed in the US, so fitment was still a bit of a question even with them having been out elsewhere for a while. I wanted to stay slightly conservative because of that and was willing to adjust to perfect with a slight amount of spacers. Also wanted to be able to play with pushing them a little more aggressive than what I would consider being ideal, without being locked into that. With this said though, I think the visual aspect of studs was more of the motivator than the flexibility.

My wheels are 20x10.5" ET10 square (rear faces are deeper though) with 3mm spacer on the rears bringing that to ET7. Both front and rear have room to be pushed wider still, so I will experiment with that.

Interesting. I'm probably going with the same wheels. Are you running stock sized tires? And if so, what offset do you think is best with these wheels on the RS6?

Stock tire size but I went with Hankook S1 Evo3s becuase out of the other go-to options in this size, which are stock Pirelli, Michelin PS4s, and Continental Sport Contact, I think the Hankooks stretch the best.

I would say what I have now being 22x10.5 ET10 front and ET7 rear would be a good fit for most, that's how Bart built his MLE81 as well. I think Vossen does ET11 front and ET9 rear.

Aren't the stock wheels, 10.5x22? Or am I wrong? I think the stock tires fit pretty nicely on the stock wheels. Are you trying to get a different look? Or do I have the tire sizes all wrong?

Stock is same width. Different tires are going to look different though even with identical specs. I'm not crazy about how the pirellis look - the stretch profile and large curb guard.
Having both side by side, I much prefer the way the hankooks look.

I'm the opposite.... I love the way curb guards look as compared to curb rash :)

Problem is, the rubber curb guards do very little to protect against rash.

I get it, but if you parallel park as slowly as I do, can't hurt having a little something there :)

I have had wheel edges get tore up from highway road debris, so there's that as well. I know they're not sexy though. To the contrary...

Thread is due for an update

No amber headlight reflectors in pics will no longer be a photoshop job :)

Sent my headlights to ONEighty in NYC for them to open and paint the reflector matte black. I was nervous to say the least, but they did an absolutely amazing job. Looks 100% OEM.

Amazing. That looks awesome man. Must have been nerve wracking considering how expensive those units are.
