Howlong/whining coming from rear end. SOS

Last weekend I was driving pretty spirited. I noticed a pretty audible huming or whining which is most pronounced and highest pitch at 38ish mph coming from my back right. I am curious if my rear hub bearing is out. Also I think my sport diff could be dry. Called my mechanic and I can't have it in till mid February. Here's a video hopefully this helps. Asking for any ideas how to check what the issue is. Also I should note it start around 10mph continues to get louder but loudest around 38mph. The humming is there on and off the peddle and gets louder if I lightly push the peddle (I can control the pitch by using the accelerate peddle.)

The video didn't seem to make it into your post.

Does the humming stay the same if you put the car in neutral while the car is in motion?

The huming kinda of sounds like if you had big mud tires on a jeep. And yes the sound is there on and off the peddle. I also noticed I can make the sound louder or quieter by lightly actuating the throttle.

I don't mean on and off the throttle. I mean actually shifting the transmission into neutral while underway to see if the sound changes when load is completely removed from the drivetrain.

Sounds like a wheel bearing but being different on/off throttle points to a bad CV joint in an axle.

No issue at all shifting into neutral and then back into drive.

Check for smaller cracks on the CV boot. It may have dried out vs the normal death fling of goop. You're pretty much limited to wheel bearing, CV, and the rear diff.

Unfortunately I got it back from the shop and it turns out to be my sport differential.
