    Audi Connect issue, SOS flashing red, no Audi connect icon to put 10 digit code in

    Nobody seems to know what’s going on with the few RS6s that have this problem, so I’m hoping the think tank will have some insight here.

    Having two other audis with connect, I was expecting no issues. The iPhone app is installed, and all three cars are listed in my Audi.
    The dealership has verified the account, so the final step is needed now. Insert the 10 digit code from key fob into the mmi.
    For some unknown reason there is no Audi connect icons to click on, no setup spots to go to, no trace of anything. My phone will connect through airplay, and through wired connection, this enables lots of features, but no Audi connect.

    The sos light is flashing red. When pressed it announces that feature is not available.

    Maybe a module is missing, or internal SIM card missing, or no software was loaded. But it’s not just mine, other cars have this same problem.

    Any ideas?

    I had the same issue when I tried a couple of weeks ago. I haven't tried again. Will late today and will see if anything changed.

    It allows a local user, but I can not select myself, and then get the screen that says login now. To setup the key user.

    So just local users can be set. Then select your name from the list.

    Some cars need a few hours to update and the SOS light turns green.

    Talk to your dealer or call the CX center, they will be able to let you the status of the download. The cars land in EU spec and then flip to our networks.

    That’s what Audi Canada said, but it’s been a week, or nearly a month for Jimminez. Would the changes happen all on their own or does it require a tech visit?

    I get the feeling that my car will not accept a download, since it appears to have zero link to anything right now.

    I would delete all users and soft reset the MMI or reset to default. You should get the initial configuration prompt and option to set up the key user login.

    Also, in the MyAudi app, did you go into marketplace/shop yet? Im pretty sure you need to get the "Trial" going for any Audi Connect services to start working. Once I got that set up, I was golden. It was just a PITA to get the MyAudi app to work right, had to keep trying.

    Do you recall if the sos was green or red when you were configuring the user key setup?

    I reset to factory. Add user. Added phone. App opened in phone. Finish setup. Says input code into mmi, but there is a note that says in Audi connect enabled cars. I’m thinking this is the fail part. Car is not enabled yet.

    I never even checked. All the of the problems I was having was because my acct wasnt verified by my rep, I couldnt get key user setup, and couldnt get the marketplace/shop Trial to work in the app.

    The app was working ok this morning when I was able to remotely lock the car through the app. I noticed some new plans in there for Plus and Prime. But I just tried the app now and its not letting me in the marketplace/shop again. Terrible freaking app.

    I contacted my dealer and was told to ensure that under Service that my sales dealership was set as the Partner. They said once that was done they can do stuff on their end. At the same time, they said the SOS would require me to come in.

    A few minutes ago I went to see if anything changed. SOS light was blinking but the User App showed an options wheels that showed a prompt to enter Key User. Once entered the SOS stopped blinking red and is a solid green.

    So it can be resolved. Not sure if the system is up now (heard a while ago it was down) or if its something the dealership did.

    Thought I'd provide an update.

    My light turned green today. But it won’t accept my email with the key user code.
    I can log in as an Audi user, but can not enter the 10 digit code, due to email incorrect or not verified message.
    At least the user key screen comes up. The email was verified the day I picked the car up.

    I deleted my account, made a new gmail. Went through the process again, and now I'm the key user. Infotainment used to be connected to the app, now all works except for the link to infotainment. Crazy.

    I've owned my car for 2 weeks now and I was told by my sales rep that there seems to be some sort of an "outage" over on the Audi servers. Not sure what is going on...

    I had this issue too, my dealer told me to hold the volume button down until you see "initializing" on the virtual dash. It is a soft reboot of system. It worked for me.

    Reviving this thread. I still have the blinking red light for SOS. MMI reboot doesn’t work. Waiting 5-10 minutes after start, still nothing. Letting car “sleep” for 30 minutes and then restarting the car also doesn’t make the light go green. It has been blinking red since purchase. Anyway to resolve this without visiting the dealer? Seems like it could be a remote fix related to SIM activation based on another comment above.

    there is a TSB for it, contact your servicing dealer

    Thanks, RMode. Just found the TSB and ran through the steps up to submitting a zendesk ticket. Still nothing. IsnÂ’t it a remote fix (registering and activating the SIM) done by AoA or Germany, not the dealer itself? Wonder why IÂ’d have to take in the car.
