of course, I can’t keep anything “as is”

first thing I did was transfer over the cross bars & roof box. Did some VCDS coding (seatbelt chime, disable auto stop/start, extended remote range, needle sweep) as well as had a stealth hitch installed today so I can still bring my bikes on the back.

Next thing will be ceramic tint for the windshield and that SHOULD be it for awhile…haha

Gave the b8 one final hand wash before parking it until the new owner flys out

Ooo shit!!! Now that’s a sale that makes sense, but the real question is…what tranny?

Stoked for you bro! She is sexy! What’s the deats on her? Motor work, oem/aftermarket already performed, interior shots? You can’t leave us with the thirst trap and not dive in head first…

soooooooo, fully swapped 2018 s4 allroad. 3.0T engine, ZF8 trans, KW v3 coilovers, full 034 suite of suspension bits, FMIC, 034 intake, etc

I think the motor trend article does a better job of showcasing everything:

I mean besides a rs6 avant I can’t think of a better car to upgrade too, after a couple months you gotta post a compare and contrast list between the b8 and b9 avant.

Completely agree, although I definitely prefer the size (and overall cost of ownership) of this build much more than an rs6 hah.

As far as driving experience goes, they are pretty night & day different. The b8 was such a raw, visceral car. you could hear & feel it, banging thru the gears, hearing the supercharger whine, the instant torque. The b9 is a much more refined driving experience overall; it is SO FAST, it's an absolute missile. She power band is SO smooth, the shifting is lightning fast. The suspension is absolutely dialed and you feel like you're in a hovercraft just floating on the road, taking curves as fast as you want.

In terms of fun, it's hard to beat a supercharged 6MT BUT all in all, they are just completely different in pretty much every way besides being wagon shaped.

The interior of the b9 is lightyears ahead. They absolutely nailed it. The sports seats are my favorite that audi has every done, and the layout and attention to detail already feels timeless. It is funny having wireless touchscreen CarPlay in the b8 (RSNAV) and having to use a a cord and dial in the b9.

Overall, I am beyond stoked with my decision, and also pumped that the b8 went to someone that will love it as much as I have <3

I love me a ZF tranny, they seem bullet proof and they engage immediately. Wife’s Q5 and L494 supercharged had the 8, absolute splendid piece of kit. Where is the IE tune suppose to put you at power wise?

I loved my IE StII+ tune on my B8. Made more than spec’d on dyno over here on the east coast.

That wagon’s build is legit, making me thirsty to finish my B7 project. Doesn’t help that I bought a new daily/tow rig that yearns for some mods as well….

If you could make the B9 a manual would you or does the auto trans add some sophistication to the driving experience that could be ruined by 3 pedals?
