    Turbo flutter after tune

After doing a stage 1 tune on the 2.0t motor ea888 gen 3 I am now getting turbo flutter now and then.

What should my next step be to get rid of turbo flutter? I was thinking the GFB DV+ but definitely open to suggestion and see what others have done with this issue. Thanks for any info.

I am running IE stage 1 tune with k&n drop in and that's about it. Thanks ahead of time again.

I assume the sound is not surge flutter when letting off the throttle...and is made when accelerating?

I would first make sure the intake valves are free of build-up...or have them manually cleaned. If they have a decent amount of build-up...this restricts air inlet flow and volume and begins to over-boost. And this will cause the flutter when accelerating.

You could try going back to the OE air filter next.

Lastly, it may be a sticky WG or too much WGA preload. This will need to be checked and preload reduced if not stuck. Then if a preload reduction is made...then the boost data will need to show boost still matches target boost but doesn't over-boost when boost is building.

You could ask if the tuner has a variant of the tune for boost to not spike so much, so early.

It is when I let off the throttle

OK...then since it is a flutter sound right when you release the throttle, it is either surge or the sound of the DV operating. But it may be the WGA preload may need a slight adjustment or the N75 might need to be changed. There's something off possibly with the DV sufficiently releasing pressure. It may not even be surge and is just the sound of the DV releasing pressure...but is doing so poorly. In pulses rather than fully opening.

I purchased the GFB DV+. I'm not sure if this was the right move but it still allows the ecu to control the solenoid for the DV. Thoughts on this move?

It's worth a shot...sure. You'll at least rule out the OE DV. Do you know which DV is in there now? ...and the brand?

Then, you are left with checking or replacing the N75...it should show 25 ohm resistance. It has a ±5 ohm spec on it...but it can be malfunctioning when just 2 ohm off from 25 ohm.

Then, if still fluttering at off-throttle, try a small reduction of the WGA preload. Just one or two full turns.

DV currently installed is 2016 oem Audi lol. As far as the ohms and crap I'd have to know exactly when to read it and where to hook up.

And to the adjustments youre speaking of I'd have to know where to adjust as well lol. I am knew to audi and new to tuning so bear with me. I am technically inclined but just need more guidance. Let me see how this new DV+ works and I'll go from there. Much appreciate the help tho
