Ok Jake I pulled the trigger and just paid for the tune. 😜😂 Hopefully y'all aren't to backed up today so I can maybe get my tune account set up today or tomorrow so I can do everything before I go back to work Sunday for my 4 13 hour shifts or I'll have to wait til Thursday. LoL I understand if y'all can't swing it I'm sure y'all are busy...

Also I wanted to talk to you about what I have done to my exhaust. I have basically replaced from in front of the front resonators to 2.5" all they back.
So no resonators or mufflers at all with a 2.5" x pipe. So I know it's not full dp replacement but close. So I put I still have stock dp on my order. So I don't know which tune would be better...

Any reason not to go stage 2 now then add exhaust later when available? Or will there be a new tune when exhaust is available? Does stage 2 require the aux heat exchanger?

Flashed the JHM 93 Stage II ECU & TCU tunes yesterday. Everything went smoothly. Was able to take the car for a quick spin afterward and it felt outstanding. Should have some 1/4 passes in the next few weeks and I'm optimistic that I will be besting my old times by a pretty significant margin.

Been able to put some more miles on the Stage 2 tune and it is really impressive. Throttle response is drastically improved and acceleration feels much more linear. If anyone is on the fence, I can't imagine being disappointed with this flash.

We do have plans for e40 on the C7 etc.. however with the C6 we have to see how far we can go dual pulley before things stop holding up. If everything is good we will proceed further. The biggest factor here is finding the safe limit of the transmission. Though if someone does like an S6 transmission swap we could push the car further than the stock trans will hold

@Jake - Can you clarify further regarding gearbox swap from S6 ?
Do you know if that's a direct swap from physical point of view or it will be needed to perform some other modifications ?

The V10 S6 motor and trans swap has been attempted. Several limitations with the most significant being the trans tunnel size on the A6 compared to the S6. Essentially the whole trans tunnel needs to be cut out from a donor S6 and swapped into the A6. Ultimately deemed not to be a worthwhile endeavor. At least from the few attempts I have seen.

+1. One of the big difficulties that's come up when people attempt to swap the V10 into the A6 avant here in the states, is that getting the transmission to fit into an A6 is a pretty significant challenge.

Quick search reveals the ZF spec sheet on the transmission saying the 6hp19 is only rated for 295lb-ft at its peak, with the 19a at 443lb-ft.. But it's possible to find EU spec TDI cars modified past that and still going.

So realistically, stage 2+ modifications on this platform, from what I can find, push the car close to that limit. Does that leave guessing when it'll blow up?

You guys over at JHM planning to keep pushing it? Really curious to see where it goes

Yes we will push it until we blow up our shop car's transmission. We have a spare trans ready to go. We have techniques we use in the software to increase the longevity of the transmission as well. Once we find the limit we will back it off and test until we feel it will be safe for a healthy car.

Captured a quick video on the way into work this morning. Unfortunately, forgot to turn off ESP so it's not the best representation of acceleration. As one can see, the shifts are really nice and firm. I'll have dragy and hopefully dragstrip results soon. Still riding on my winter wheels and tires but will be swapping out to summers this weekend.

Anyone replaced these on C6 yet? How much of a pain is it?

We have the prototypes fitted to our car right now. There are a couple of flange bolts that can be a pain to get to, but its not overly difficult.

    Jake,

I have a couple of questions:
what is the impact of increasing the RPM limit, at what point is it needed to go inside of the engine?
what is the torque limit for the 09L gearbox and how does the trans play with the harder shifts? any reliability concerns? maybe a shorter ATF interval?
any shock to the torque converter noticed during testing?
for how long has the test car been running this ECU TCU tune, how does its maintenance schedule look like?
what is the duty cycle of the injectors for both stages?
anything else that needs to be removed or sanded to fit the new snub mount and the belt?

from what I gathered this is the wishlist:
    57.6mm upper pulley
192mm crank pulley (will xlr8 work?)
I don't know which belt (can you recommend a PID?)
DPs (I don't know if headers or what else is needed) any recommendations?
SC HX (divorced? or no need to divorce it)
will this pulley ratio fit under your ECU S2?

It would be cheaper if you just went with our 207mm crank pulley to achieve the optimal DP ratio.

Downpipes/catless will be need for full DP software

We have an HX option and are working on another HX solution. We are also testing divorced.

No impact. We are shifting at the factory B8 S4 3.0T RPM.

Torque limit is low, but we have ways around that. Trans plays great with our TCU software. It has been tailored around this transmission. No reliablity concerns, in fact, the TCU tune will increase the life of the clutch packs as they are now slipping far less than OE software creating less wear. Normal intervals.

If you stall the converter too long, you can cause issues ( same for any torque converter car on the planet). We do implement some overheat safety parameters to help keep people from destroying it.

We have been doing 3.0T software for a couple years now and on our shop car over a year. We optimize the injectors to achieve our performance goals in the software.

    Normal maintenance intervals.

If you use our snub kit you only have to remove that bolt nub
