After several different combinations we came up with a recipe that has a clean note that doesn't require baffled downpipes. HFC only sounds great. No obnoxious 3.0t sounds

I currently have the dual pulley tune from EPL as they were the only ones available a couple of years ago. Since EPL is now gone, can I get the JHM tune and flash it on top of the EPL tune? Or do you have the stock tune that can be flashed over before loading the JHM tune? As far as I know, the EPL tune does not lock the ecu. Also, I have some TCU tune for the ZF6 from some local tuner here in NJ (Mirza) since he was the only one that had one available as well. So same question, can it be flashed over w/ your TCU tune? I've been really impressed on what JHM has done w/ the C6.5 A6 platform. I just wished you guys already came out with all these stuff when I first started modding mine.

I finished installing the catback system today to compliment the JHM catless downpipes. I also swapped in the JHM intake pipe with stock air box and filter.

Overall the catback install was straightforward and not bad for a DIY. Lined up well with factory mounts and the 4” tips are a nice touch.

I don’t have any sound clips yet but the volume is a good bit louder than stock, with a nice deep tone. Pretty lively on cold starts and high revs but very tame at idle when it warms up. Haven’t had it on the highway yet so can’t really comment on drone at cruising speed but around town it sounds nice with windows up or down.

JHM Stage II next then coilovers and Rotiforms I think.

Hoping to see some Black Friday package deals on the ECU/TCU, flashing cable and baffled downpipes so I can pull the trigger. Yes. Ordered the ECU/TCU tune and the baffled DP on Friday. I need to get my ecu swapped first though since I'm having an issue w/ the barometric pressure sensor which seems to be inside the ECU. Found a local guy that will program the immobilizer to a donor ecu.

Then once I get the DP, reflash it again w/ the file specific for that? Actually, is there a separate file for the catted baffled DP running DP or is it only for test pipe ones?

Hey Alex,

you can flash the stock downpipe file now and then when you get our downpipes installed you can flash the JHM Downpipe file. The options are Stock DP or JHM DP for the files

Thanks. Also, will I be charged the $55 server access fee if I switch tunes later on? I was not aware of this until I saw the customer tuning sign-up form. I was able to flash back & forth w/ different tunes w/ the EPL at no additional costs.

Typically no, we don't really charge anyone unless they start abusing it or flashing excessively for no reason.

No sound clips yet. Overall I like the tone and would say the volume inside is a tad too loud for the average passenger (ie not a car enthusiast). I have the cat-less downpipes and a wagon which is probably the worst case. I had some spare 12x12 foam acoustic panels I stuffed around the spare tire which helped with boom inside the car. I have all the parts to do stage II+ as soon as I stumble upon a favorable combination of free time, good weather, and motivation. After that I may pursue additional exhaust tweaks to take the edge off interior drone. I’ll get some sound clips post-tune.

I would recommend sticking some of that dynamat sound proof material to the inside of your wheel well. I took my entire trunk apart for my b7 avant and stuck that on everywhere I could. Reduced the drone greatly.

Only thing to be reported is, if upon tuning you have any transmission shift/slip issues, have the transmission immediately serviced and reflash the software on the car
