If anyone is on the fence about this tune, you need to pull the trigger ASAP. it's night and day difference! Drives smooth as stock in drive, sports and manual shifts are as mentioned above.

Can't wait, just ordered mine the other day! I'm looking to start at stage 1 first then maybe move up to stage 2 with pulley and HX later but concerned about too much SC whine with 187mm/207mm pulley and normal driving (I want a total sleeper DD so I'd prefer not to have people even know it's even modified at all unless I'm at WOT). I heard an S4 go by me in the mall parking lot the other day (not sure his full setup) and I could hear a loud whine from quite a distance without him really revving the engine from what I could tell. Planning to keep the stock exhaust and intake so maybe I'd be better off with a 180mm pulley instead. Not sure if others can comment on their own experience in this regard.

Also can someone explain how the tune upgrade works with JHM? I can't seem to find any explanations (ie if I buy stage 1 how much does it cost to upgrade the tune to stage 2? if I want to go back to stage 1 how much does it cost and do I lose access to the other tune? etc)

Make sure to fill out the document on their website for tuning server access. It takes 24-48 hours after submission of the DOCUMENT, not the purchase of the tune, to get access to the download for their app and a login to the flashing server.

I believe the account comes with.. 3 or 4? Free flashes to any stage (includes TCU, it'll tell you in the computer application), and after that, I think each access to the server for a tune carries a roughly $50 charge to a card you have to put on file. If you flash back to stock, and don't re-tune within something like <20 days, the tune is full price once again.

Tune took less than 45 minutes start to finish, and that includes setup of their app and the car on a battery tender just to be safe. They'll give you detailed instructions on the email with the flashing server login, just remember to read a few sentences ahead to make sure you don't miss any details!

Anybody else experiencing extremely hard shifts with the trans tune? I know it designed to shift a bit faster, but man, sometimes it SLAMS into the next gear, especially the first to second shift.

It is every single 1-2 shift. It reduces as you go through the gears, but man, it BANGS into the next gear. Nearly every shift.

I do recall there was an issue when installing the tune, but I didnt do it, my tech did, so I cannot speak on the specifics.

What throttle percentage would you estimate this is happening at? Is that same no matter the percent?

Its definitely the worst at WOT and lessens with lower inputs. I have noticed if I lift closer to redline it will shift sooner (obviously) and then it wont shift nearly as hard, if at all.

+1 I had a similar issue with my tune, also notably first to second. Mine was hitting the limiter 1-3 times before shifting which resulted in a hard but slow on power shift. It'd be best to get a video uploaded here so we can see! Have you driven it long through the adaptation period?

They uploaded a new version for me to test, dubbed "7100" vs the "7100+" I was originally running. The 7100 variant is a lot smoother so far

Unsure how long that is, but its been probably 3500 miles since we have tuned the car.

I will try to drive it this week, its my lady's car, and its gonna be nice so I think I will be driving the Scirocco the rest of the week. But I will at some point get a video.

    In for updates.

Also, with the TCU tune - does it still matter if you're in D or S? I'd ideally like to keep a mode for mellow around town or traffic driving.

D and S are still separate. Both are better than the stock variant

D feels about the same, if not smoother than stock shifting if it's below ~3500 RPM. Shift points are similar, but the shifting is significantly quicker and more aggressive above that point. S is definitely more aggressive throughout.

My only thing with the TCU tune is if you're in a high gear and hit the kickdown switch and shift into a low gear >5500 RPM, it feels like the drivetrain shock is gonna rip the transmission out of the car.

I am interested in this setup.
I am running a 57.55 AWE upper pully and the JHM179mm lower crank pully.
I have 2HX...the stock one and the PLM 2" thick aftermarket running in series.
I also have gutted CATS, 2.5" Exhaust behind the gutted CAT.
RockEuro Intake pipe and High flow air filter as well.
    GIAC Stage 2+ tune

Does JHM have a dual pulley tune for this with the TCU tune?
Also, how much is this package? Very interested in getting this as well as the new downpipes.

Sold our SQ5 a few months ago, so my wife is driving the A6. Which is good because it needs to be pampered before I get it back and get it tuned.
I’ve got a CTS dual pulley w a 3.14 ratio and want to replace the Reflect tune with a JHM stage 2 and match TCU tunes. Curious if we are there yet with Stage 2 packages ?

Timed to 60 at 4.5, even without the HX and at high altitude (A bit shy of 5,000FT above sea level). So far Type R's, G37S's, and even an E92 M3 have all been fair game. Can't wait to go to dual pulley ratio and get an HX. If you guys release a downpipe sometime soon, I may pick that up first. Here's to hoping!

what crank pulley ratio/size do you guys/the tune support? Unfortunately, at 81,XXX miles my crank pulley isolator failed. Thankfully the belt didn't jump and nothing was damaged, but if anything is loaded up (power steering, boost, etc) the belt slips and eventually comes to a stop whilst the inner portion continues to spin. I've seen 179, 189, 190, 197, 203, and 207 available. I'm planning on keeping my upper stock and just replacing the crank pulley. What sizes does the tune support (any other than the 3 sizes you sell on your website?)

We are running the 207. Depending on stage we theoretically support any of those.

Nothing filmed yet. With stock catback it sounds relatively stock, just a little louder with HFCs downstream.

Gotcha. Am I able to ask about power figures yet, say, with a 187MM crank pulley? I understood I was also told you guys started experiencing transmission slip around the 207MM crank pulley mark, but found a way around it. Is it boost by gear/rpm, rebuild, etc?

Very curious. I'll likely stay with a 187 crank, and possibly upgrade my upper in the future. I'm really interested how you guys have been navigating the limitations of the C6 platform

I'm guessing you guys will also be updating your packages to include the downpipes ?

If possible I hope you guys do some sound slips with the new exhaust solutions; with emphasis on how it sounds from the rear hatch.

If possible I hope you guys do some sound slips with the new exhaust solutions; with emphasis on how it sounds from the rear hatch.

We are running the downpipes w/hfc (non baffled) on our car with stock catback. It still sounds pretty stock with just a little more tone in the higher RPM band. It will be heard in some of the draggy videos that will be shared soon. The downpipes wake up the car a good amount

Sounds great looking forward to it.

Also I'm glad you guys tested for 91 Octane as well. For us West Canada folks with garbage fuel, hopefully it'll run strong.

Might do some dyno runs after I get a full package to see whats what :D but that would be in the far far future

Kind of curious post install, why a 7PK1320 belt over the 1310 which I've been told is the more standard on the 187mm pulley? Is there a difference or reason for one over the other?

I wasn't apart of the belt choice on the 187, so I don't know off hand. Usually though, we choose a belt based on a balance of keeping the tensioner as close to possible to the stock location (don't want too much preload) and belt availability. There may the be the absolute perfect belt size, but you can't ever get your hands on it. We sell an enormous amount of pullies, so we need to make sure we can provide at least an equal amount of belts.

How many miles is the transmission adaptation supposed to take? I've put some 600+ miles on the car since going stage 2, and the first gear shift near or at WOT are still very wonky. I was told to drive it for two weeks, and that'll be coming up this weekend.

Finally ordered a set of catless downpipes. No emissions inspections here in Michigan. Time to trash my leaky flexpipes. Haven’t decided on a catback arrangement yet. Ultimately planning to retrofit a pre-facelift S6 rear bumper with dual tips on both sides.
