Any news on this? Install, sound, videos, etc?

Car goes into NGP to get this installed on Wednesday. Took the before videos today so I'm anxious to get it installed. You could install it on jackstands but they're already going to be under the car that day.

I'll update either later that day or on Thursday.

Went for a drive and parked then came back to the car to get something and noticed the car sort of aired out a tiny bit as i opened the door. Does it normally do this type of thing after parking? It's just more noticeable now since the car is lowered.

It’ll just randomly adjust height slightly from time to time. Sometimes i’ll be in the garage and i’ll just hear it start purging air and lowering slightly

I thought it was just me and wasn't sure it was normal. I was getting worried it might be a random leak

Yeah, the opening of the door is a sharper, higher pitched electro-mechanical noise for the fuel pump. The airing out sounds like a subtle hissing followed by a few small clicks.

Has anyone installed a downpipe themselves? Just curious how getting at the back bolts are. They look easier then the s4 but I and like to know how it was from someone that has actually done it.

Turned off active sound last night - first OBDEleven from ECS got lost.

Won't have an on bumper but will have a couple outside car and will mount up one in the car. With active sound off the only drone you get is in D 8th.

I turned off the soundakator with VCDS on mine and curious as to what it now sounds like with the ECS x-pipe.

when i went on their site, they give two options for the 2020 model (from 01/06/20 and to 01/06/20).

im not sure if the production month causes the rotors or pads to change??

the reason im asking is bc i have an opportunity to purchase these rotors used and im not sure what model number they are.

they are off of a 2020 model, same as mine, so im assuming they should be fine. but you know what they say about assumptions...

any help would be great!

also if anyone has ran r1 concept brakes on their sq5 and has any thoughts on them id love to hear!

I just installed their rear pads and slotted/drilled rotors. Waiting for them to re-stock the front rotors. I went with the geomet rotors. My car is a 2019 but I would think the rotors for front and rear should be the same for all B9 years as they cross fit between S4,S5 and SQ5.

i would assume that being the case as well but they have 2 options on their site & i tried speaking to customer service and they asked to verify the production month as well. i dont want to get these rotors and they end up not fitting lol.

how do you like the geomets? is there a huge difference in stopping power?

S4,S5 and SQ5 have the same rotors/pads? are you certain??

Yes it’s pretty simple actually. Just head to the dealer, and trade your current q5 in for a 2021 lol.

Seriously though I’m sure it’s “possible” but is it worth how much money and effort it would take? I’d say that would be a big no

Quick in cabin from this AM. With active sound off there's no drone in Auto at 75-80mph. Minimal in Dynamic. The video is actually a really good representation of how it is on line.

I have soundakator off and the in cabin sound is pretty similar in dynamic.

Delivery on Sunday for my x-pipe but expecting 2+ feet of snow so that will likely be delayed a day or two.

Hey all! So epl just released the map switching file to me and that allows me to run e40 mixed fuel. I was wondering if anyone else is running e40 and if we have to use a different fuel pump to run it? I was going to just mix the fuel prior to putting it in and use one of those test tubes to make sure the mix is at e40. Thanks for any replies!

Not sure how many sq guys are running ethanol but I know a bunch of s4 ones are. The oem fuel pump will serve you fine.

get the tank down to gas light on (flashing if possible) and then fill up 6 gallons e85 and 5 gallons 93. that will target e40-e45 range. should be good to go. stock turbo will not have issues with the e40 mix only on higher boost hybrid set-ups gets lean. stock is good to go for e40.

A nice 3 bucket wash and wheel cleaning, I went off on a ride for some lunch, and I get a warning light, Pre-sense and a light with which looks like 3 white cars bumper to bumper.
Is the decal blocking something in the windsheild that has set this off?

Mine just came today. I ordered at $299 but they honored the sale price and refunded me the difference.

For what it's worth, I had a good experience with Hi-Flo here in Manassas. They only charged me $50 (one pipe) to cut out the resonator on my wife's Golf R and weld in a straight pipe. A dual-pipe like the SQ5 should be about $100.

I know I'm a little late but maybe this will be helpful to you in the future. I know you mentioned NGP, if you're going to their new shop in Manassas they are right around the corner from Hi-Flo.

Well it was the banner, between the D and I, there is a Pre-Sense senser, it was slightly blocked by the letter D, made a sexy cut on it too clear and no more pre-sense codes showed up!

Where’d you guys purchase black Audi rings for the front and rear? Wife asked the other day if we could ditch the chrome ones. Looks like there’s a ton of them on eBay and would probably work more than fine. Don’t need actual painted ones that are just as prone to chipping if not worse.
