Another question I have that I don't see asked much. How do/ if anyone does at all, take into account the depreciation of their vehicles. Specifically Audi's and German sports cars that like to depreciate much faster than say an F150.

I bought my B8.5 S4 with 30k in 2018 and have seen a good amount of deprecation since. For those like Mops who gets a new vehicle pretty frequently, do you have an expected ownership length/ is there anything you do to help combat the deprecation of your vehicle? Are you buying or leasing?

Never. A vehicle is *rarely ever an investment.

Always buy in full here, never finance or lease.

Muffler shop, there are no after market options for res delete.

I just wanted to put this out there. I found this last night just looking around on YouTube. Looks like ECS does make a resonator delete for the B9 SQ5. Yes, it is more expensive than an exhaust shop is.

The video is what lead me to the page actually. I bought stuff or my TT from ECS so glad to see they have something for the SQ like this.

Great find. This really opens up the sound of the factory exhaust. Curious to how it sounds in the cabin and definitely looking forward to your photos, videos, and impressions on this.

Sounds very similar to my res delete. For my setup, I cut the center and had 2 straight pipes welded whereas ECS is an X pipe. To me the sound is perfect. If stock is a 3, this is a 6 on sound level with zero drone, even in D mode.

I have disabled the soundakator function in VCDS so even in S I'm quieter in the cab than opposed to stock, but I do get some real sound that makes it in the from the exhaust (which I like). Wasn't a fan of the fake exhaust note through the speakers.

I like this ECS option for mostly the pops and crackles, and that the mufflers and valves are all left in and function like normal.

This is why I like this as well. I had a res delete on my TT from 034 and it was nice. Added just a little more that was needed.

I do wonder about the X pipe vs a standard straight through pipe though.

Both will change the sound. I've never heard audio of just the straight pipe. Sans that to make a subjective comparison, I like this ECS option.

I'm at 32k on my SQ5 and hoping for 40k. But I baby my brakes most of the time and am not representative of the group. This spring I'll be going to the track. That should take some toll and might put me over the edge.

What pads are you considering? For me, I'll either go OEM or EBC Yellowstuff (good cold bite and less fade when hot). My only hesitation is fear of noise when braking cold. I plan to do rotors at the same time for the best chance of quiet brakes.

I drive my car pretty hard and more or less take full advantage of the large brakes. I am thinking R1 concepts pads but they are out of stock. I believe the S4 pads are compatible which have options from Powerstop or Textar. Will reach out to Mops to see what else is offered.

NGP is a couple weeks behind on appointments so I got in for next Thursday for that. Taking before videos this weekend. By this time next week I should be able to have a before and after up.

Also I replaced the intake filter with foam filter from Racing Line, really compliments the stage 1 Unitronic tune. I can hear the turbo slightly louder then before and bit of a bump in mid range power. The S5/S4 part fits the SQ5.

How have people adjusted going from a sedan to Q line? Any differences you think are worth sharing? Currently driving a B9 A4 and looking to get into an SQ5. I feel like the large engine will help offset some of the larger over all size - also liking that the height is adjustable.

I came from a b8 a4 and I love the upgrade. The interior size is pretty much if not exactly the same but you get the addition of the hatch is which is a big plus.

The Q5 is a A4 with a backpack on. The SQ5 is a S4 with a backpack on.

New to the forum. I just bought a 21 SQ5. Is it possible to have the favorites list remain on the mmi screen? Mine fades out after a few seconds and I am left with a volume adjustment. I would like it to remain so I can pick and choose stations.
