Street Engine Mounts - 034 vs CTS

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
    Hi All,

Doing my clutch soon, so thought I'd attack a few items while transmission is out. One of those items being the factory motor mounts.

haven't seen much info on the CTS mounts but they are out of stock so that must be a good sign? Has anyone run these? feedback? They seem to be identical to 034 street mounts?

I spoke with CTS and they advised that they have an oem engine mount manufacturer that builds to their spec by essentially filling with solid rubber. I'm wanting to know feedback as CTS is local to me and will have stock again soon and would like to avoid shipping charges from 034 to canada if possible.

    appreciate everyone's time and feedback!

Both offer 50 durometer for street applications, 034 65 durometer are the track density mounts

they’re no different honestly. at least from what i can tell. both companies are reputable. and 034 does actually run out of stock on the B8 (like A4 and S4) motor mount but always make more extremely quickly. cts is a smaller, lesser known company so i doubt they have the ability to produce B8 motor mounts that are not on demand.

I have my CTS motor mounts installed 2 months ago, along with my 034 control arms kit. I could of order the 034 motor mounts with my 034 control arms kit but the 034 motor mount cost 50$ more per mount. So I decide to save 100$ and go with the CTS. So far, really happy, the car feel more stiff, shifts are much more direct and no extra vibration compared to stock mounts.

I am from Montreal. Yes, the 034 control arms kit are one of my favourite upgrade. It makes a significant difference on steering feel and handling. I used to complain that my S4 don’t handle as well as my previous BMW 335, well not any more, now it’s as handle as good or better than previous BM.

Running CTS since end July. No issues to report. 034 was out of stock.

Sorry to bump an old thread, but I figured you'd have experience being in the snow belt. Would you still recommend the CTS solid mounts despite our winters? Was about to pull the trigger but my tech recently told me to stay away from solid mounts/poly stuff with our climate. I can understand things corrosion with things like spherical end links with our salty roads, but regarding solid mounts/polyurethane I hadn't heard of issues (shrinking/freezing=NVH?) before.

That's my fourth winter with these CTS engine mounts, not problem what so ever.
