    Comprehensive RS5 service intervals

    Hi all

I'm trying to get a digital list of all the service items needed for an RS5 and wondered if anyone can confirm or deny what information I’ve gathered. I can’t seem to locate any service intervals in my paperwork. I definitely don’t want to miss anything as I know these cars are costly to repair and require strict maintenance. Units are miles
I couldn’t find any official information on coil packs, carbon clean, brake lines etc.

Engine oil - 10,000 (though some recommend every 5,000)
    Air filter - 60,000
Interior filter 2 years or 20,000
    Brake fluid - 2 years
    Spark plugs - 6 years or 60,000

    Final front drive - 20,000
Dual clutch gearbox S-tronic ATF filter and fluid - 40,000
Final rear drive ATF fluid and final drive oil - 40,000

Panoramic roof mechanism check, clean and grease the slides - 2 years or 40,000
    Wiper blades - 2 years or 20,000
Air conditioning evacuate, de-odour, renew refrigerant and oil and re-pressurise - 3 years
Engine coolant drain and renew - 6 years
DRC evacuate oil, renew and re-pressurise - 3 years
Tyres and alignment - 6 years or 3mm
    Car battery - 6 years
    Fuel filter - 6 years

    Front brake discs - 32.4mm
Front pads - 10mm (plus backing plate)
    Rear discs – 20mm
Rear pads – 7mm (plus backing plate)

There are no official service/replacement intervals for coil packs and brake lines.

Carbon clean is recommended at 80000-100000Km. But your driving style and the type of driving you do will impact this.

I recently did all four corners for brakes, rotors and pads in the rear, pads up front. Note the CCB minimum thickness is around 9mm with backing plate. My pad wear indicator light came on at about 12.5mm and I have to say, if I'd waited any longer, I would have ruined the CCB rotors. So even measuring with calipers, it seemed fine but was very close to not being fine. I'd say absolutely change them at 12.5mm (includes backing plate) or immediately when your pad warning light comes on.

For the rest, I'd do plugs every 35K, coils at 60K and consider new fuel injectors at that point, especially if you're having a carbon clean done. Definitely change the oil every 5,000 miles.

I'd half the air filters too, every 35K for those as well.

I advocate for changing both the MTF and ATF on the transmission every 20K miles but that can get steep. I'm sitting here draining the MTF side now and opted to forego the ATF side. I'm also running the RMR transmission cooler and a bit more fluid. A bit more peace of mind.
