Installed New IE Downpipes on B8 SQ5

    Hello All,

Just wanted to make a quick post with a link to a short video of our B8 SQ5 with Integrated Engineering's (IE) new downpipes. The Car has an otherwise stock exhaust but you can get a feel for how the volume and tone changed if you have one with a stock exhaust. Sorry, didn't consider a before video. It is certainly significantly louder. I feel that the car was left a bit raspy still but I will address that in the near future trying out some other mods.

The Cars mod list is in my signature if you are wondering what else is done. I'd love to hear your feedback on the exhaust and any ideas you may have as well!

I bet you'll have to listen to the video a couple times with how short it is. We will get some more videos of it out in the wild in the near future.

Sounds nice, but a tad raspy for my taste. This was the reason why I just went with rear muffler delete. I think a cold start and idle until idle-drop would also be a good video, would really capture the subtle change without engine load. Nice job, and nice plates

Yeah, that's how we feel as well about the rasp. Will try to mitigate that next. I literally just listened to your cold start video and it sounds really nice. I'm not sure what route we will take, but we certainly don't want a ton of drone or too much volume. We may start with an H pipe at the suitcase and see what happens. Trying to find out what causes the rasp too. Thanks, the girlfriend loves her plates (read S-cutie).

It's so hard to get a feel/ear for exhaust notes via videos! I watched and watched and watched the like 5 total videos that had either the rear muffler delete or the non-resonated downpipes only (with the rest stock). I wasn't interested in dropping major coin for exhaust note mod...so I just said screw it and went to the shop and had them remove the mufflers. Was a good call...I think your tunes may also create some of that rasp. I noticed between the two tunes I use from 034 a very different note. I stuck with the tune with the quieter note. I also agree about the plates, I don't care for the world to see it on the internet, it's like driving down the street :)
