Got new rims help me fit them

So i did my homework first and I know they will work i just have to decide which way I want to do it. The rims are 5x114.3 et 40 volk se37k

Adapters, seems easiest bolt on and go. Minimum thickness is 15mm but seems like it would add unnecessary weight however little, but weight was one reason for the rim switch

Redrill, tried searching but it seems to me that 5x114.3 could be drilled out it 5x112 as its a 2.3 mm difference and the new rims have a 13mm lug hole that would need to be enlarged to 14+mm so a 1+mm difference per side. which seems to me the new hole would cover the old hole with out the need for inserts or fill. This seems like the lighter and stronger options and would allow me to run whatever size spacers.

Wobble bolts/nuts don't like this option as I'm limted to a slim selection with no locking options

Also have a fitment question my current set up is 18x8 et35 with 5mm front 10mm rear spacers tires 225/40R18 i like the fitment/stance and would like to set the new rims up the same they are 18x7.5 et40 and will be running the same size tire. My question is should I space them out so the edge of the rim sits at the same place as my current rim or do I want them slightly farther in as the tire will still be the same with and may sit wider on the narrower rim ?

Thanks in advance im really excited to get this on, have been searching for rims for awhile
