I picked up a Q5 rack for free.99, because it didn't have a wrench. I'm gonna rig it to my Sportwagen TDI after drilling through the aluminum. There's a sticker on the underside that has info, but nowhere on that sticker can I find a letter combination that matches one of the 12 patterns. When looking at the bolt pattern, it appears to match KR, but it has 9 triangles between its furthest squares instead of 7. It might be ST, though. I'll go to an Audi dealership to match them up, or just cut them off and replace them with 6-1x55 10mm bolts (cheaper and sketchier)!
What I'm trying to say is that I've seen the sticker that shows the rack code on some picture floating around these forums/internet. The sticker might be in the owners manual, or maybe in the box that houses your car jack found in the trunk. That's where the wrench would normally be found. Thanks for the info at Richfield Audi. I live about 10 minutes from there, thankfully!
