Wheel Spacers < 8mm: What do you use and would you buy again?

I have a set of H&R 5mm spacers I probably would not buy again. They do not tightly seat on the 57.1mm hub.

Anyone "swear by" their narrow spacers and have had good luck? Anything from 8mm down to 5mm

You might want to check with ECS Tuning, as they have good quality spacers. I am using one of their 30mm spacers for supporting spare tire use which I put together since our 2019 Audi RS 3 came with out a spare tire! I've also used other size spacers from them and they've always fit perfectly.

Thanks Rod, and good info about the spare (ive been looking at RS3s) - I have ECS on the rear, and they do work great because they have a flange (they are 10mm), but I used ECS on the front and had shimmy. Then I ordered H&R and have an issue as well. Its really an issue for the narrower spacers that are without a flange.

UPDATE: Looks like the narrow ones they do are not different from others in the market, and the overall cost with shipping is quite a bit more. If they were unique, I would purchase. They look quality

None of the less than 8mm spacers are going to work well. They do not allow your wheel to seat properly on the hub. So you are going to either get real lucky centering your wheels or they wont be centered and youll get vibrations at speed. I had this happen to me and I have my friend make me the following which is in a whole thread:

I had no issue because the wheel bore was bigger than the hub on the S3 cause the rims I mounted were from my old POS B8 S4. If you have the proper size wheel hub you are sol. But also, on a side note, you should buy the proper rims with the proper offset or make sure its so far off you can use 10+mm spacers.

I see what you are saying and remember that thread. My issue is I have 57.1 wheels too, and want to run a min of 5mm, max of 8 (truly a 7mm)...so 57.1 wheel to 57.1 hub....but because of the spacer it pushes out beyond the effective edge of the hub. The wheels you use are 66.6 right? Unless I missed something. Ill re-read the whole thread

Correct, my wheels are 66.1 bore, my hub is 57.1.

Ok so, I ended up ordering these: https://www.ecstuning.com/b-black-fo...r/sp204gb~bfi/

They have a conical set up and since my Neuspeed wheels ALSO have a conical chamfer, we will see how this works out.

    Thanks for the input

Interested to see how they work for you, also which wheels? I'm running some generic 5mm spacers that seem to add just a bit of vibration at speed. I had previously tried some 034 hubcentric spacers but they wouldn't fit my Neuspeed RSe12 wheels. The portion that inserted into the wheel left a small gap and I couldn't tighten the wheel.

Can u not just go up 2 mm to a 10 mm? Seems like the simple option, u less your fitment is extremely tight

Any update on the BFI spacers? They look like a good option for someone who wants 8mm and cant fit a 10mm.

Well I got them... and the chamfer on my Neuspeeds is not deep enough. These bfi are truly for OEM.

I didn't even have to mount. I held the spacer to the back of the wheel.

I may just go to a 10. It may have a tiny bit of poke but worth it for no wobbles

Yeah I run the ECS 10mm spacers in the rear and it’s flush fitment. 19x8.5 et45, with the spacer its effectively et35. Absolutely perfect fitment.
