APR ECU upgrade was it worth it??

So we will start off with my vehicle.
    2012 Audi A6 3.0t 126k miles today.

I've been the proud owner of this vehicle for one year and two months now. The day that I bought the car I raced it against my stage 1 APR tuned 2015 Volkswagen Passat 1.8t. From a 60 roll the Audi has the acceleration to pull a head by a car and a half, but at 101mph the Volkswagen was then at the front of Audi doors fully me at 106 mph. The Volkswagen speed was 118mph and still pulling. By the time the Audi hit its Governor at 130mpr the Volkswagen was two car lengths ahead at 151 mph and tapped out at 161 mph on the stage 1 tune.

note the Audi was still stock at this time... Before the Volkswagen was stage 1 the governor was set at 114mph

Tuning the Audi A6 to APR stage 1.
Before getting the tune I looked into to see if there was a real difference between stock and stage 1 and it is hard to find anyone posting on the stage 1 tune for the 3.0 t however when asking the dealer I was told to go stage 2 if I really want to see a difference...

Running that same test on the same highway one year later my Volkswagen verse my Audi. Again the Audi gets the jump on the Volkswagen between the speed of 70 to 120... the Audi is amazing puting a 2 car gap between the 2 with in seconds and if you get enough road making it to 156 feels even better but I feel like it takes a super long time to get there. At 141mph the VW was then on my rear bumper passing me at 148. Note the Audi seemed to have a hard time getting pass 140-144mph giving the Volkswagen the room to put one car in between the two. At top speed again the Volkswagen hit 163mph and the Audi could not make it pass 158mph.

    My overall view
From zero the car sometimes feel sluggish off the line but still hits 0-60 in about 4.3-4.5 secs
The biggest difference that I seen was between the stock and stage 1 is speed between 70-120 and it feels great but after that it kinda just feels stock and this mostly has to do with the shift points at high RPM

I feel that if the Audi could stay in gear longer this tune would be great and I would not have been so quick to order the dual pulley system for stage 2

i was told that no one could tune TF8 and only the DSG tunes are out for the C7, and after reading yesterday it looks to be that only the big vendors do not carry the TF8 TCU tune, and smaller companies do. If have any trusted ones, i would like to know more about them

Like your VW, your Audi has a top speed governor of 155mph. (or was it 154? I forget, its an even number in kph)

Look at it this way... The Stage 1 on your Passat was a real game changer for driving that sucker. How do I know? I have a Passat with the same engine and same tune as you. That car sucked before the tune. Tune the Audi, you wont regret it.

people keep forgetting this....weight is everything. take a lesser HP car that is 700-800 lbs lighter and it can out perform a car that has more HP and is heavier.
