    Launch Control

    I have a 3.0 Supercharged A6 C7, transmission is 7 speed automatic, do I have launch control?

How do I know if I have stronic? Mine is 7 speed auto, year 2012. I tried foot flat on brake and right foot on pedal , the car jerks forward wanting to go but brakes holding, kept it around 2000rpm only then I let go, fear it overloads the engine didn’t try above this rpm

S-tronic is the ZF 8 speed auto, sounds like you have the DSG

Huh? S-tronic = DSG which is a 7 speed dual-clutch. The ZF 8 speed auto is the traditional torque converter.

It’s in the owner’s manual but something like:
    - fluids at operating temp
    - start & stop off
    - traction control off
    - drive mode dynamic
    - gear lever in S
    - steering wheel straight

Left foot on brake plant the accelerator and it should rev to 4000rpm without wanting to move before releasing the brake.

I tried exactly your method, car is not jerking forward anymore, it seems working, but rpm won’t go over 2000rpm! I literally flat foot on brake and gas

Nevermind it is working! I turned off auto - hold and made sure to hold the brakes flat foot for at least one second, then car rev up to 3000rpm, great success !

The OP and janhe are not in the US so their s-tronic revs higher for true manual style launch control, not brake torquing the ZF like yours.
The stock S6 S-tronic launched at 5k and needed the TCU tune to bring it down to 3500-4000 since 5k launch had too much tire spin even after just Stage I.

My 2012 A6 has 2 stage launch control, hold throttle half way it sits at 2800. (great for wet launch), foot flat then pops it upto 4300, feels like someone just rear ended you when it launches :) best feature ever!!. Just need a tune now to make it even better lol
