Boost doesn’t feel right from turbo

I installed a ECS intake on my A4 b8 and it sounds amazing and helps throttle response. The only problem is when I want to feel that boost from the turbo, it is now very very minimal. With the OEM intake I felt a good amount of boost throwing me into my seat but now it feels as if it isnt there. I looked at my DV that looks fine and I tightened down every screw and bolt that has to do with the intake/turbo inlet. Someone help me plz with any suggestions.

    Got a P0299 code?

B8’s are prone to the wastegate bushing and lever wearing out and not producing boost early enough at first and then eventually not enough all together.

It’s a known problem, unfortunately, and there’s a WHOLE thread about the P0299 code and the related wastegate problem in the B8 section of the forum.

And generally, intakes on our cars make more noise than power....if not less power.

The dash would be a Xmas tree without the MAF plugged in. Trust me, I’ve done it.
