    Audi B8.5 S4 Supercharger

    Hi guys,

I have ported my supercharger, but have hit a snag.

The needle bearing have a certain grease/oil (a blue/black colour) for lubrication and I need to relube them.

Audi shows nothing on their system and I have no specs of it, such as weight/viscosity etc.

Can any help me find this or give me a part number?

    Thank you.

Replace the needle bearings. I don't know if you are seeing traces of it around the bearings or around the inside of the supercharger, but if you are the bearings are toast.

    Thanks for the reply.

The bearings are perfect the reason for the grease is it needed to be cleaned out after porting.

However, I cannot find the needle bearing grease anywhere at Audi. It's not on their system.

I'm sure somebody here must know what it is? It is a very dark blue colour.

I asked Joker on his Facebook page, but doesn't seem he is interested in helping me, he is very cagey.

All I need to know if what that grease is called, where I can get it or alternately what it's viscosity and temp range is so I can match it up.

    Thanks

Looks like Nye Rheotemp 500 is pretty standard needle bearing grease and is commonly used in Eaton superchargers.

This is the grease I used when I ported my supercharger. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Supercharge...-/252048346170
